Stayed Aug 29, 2025Stayed here with our 5 year old daughter. House is on the park and easily walkable to downtown so that was great. Place is very cute as an older house. We were fine but just as a warning to parents with more rambunctious kids- there is a lot of breakable things throughout the home. The place had a hair dryer and coffee maker- there is some shower soap, but most folks probably want to bring their own shampoo and conditioner. We stayed over Labor Day weekend, and were just fine without AC. Would recommend staying here.

Stayed Aug 1, 2025Great location and able to walk and bike to stuff downtown. Parking on the side street right next to the backyard gate made it easy to load and unload gear from the car. I would describe the house as quirky and quaint overall which gave it a fun atmosphere. The only minor downsides were the fact that it was hot while we were there and no AC. Being on the corner of well-used streets across from a park, there was some noticeable outdoor noise when the windows were open. Nothing too excessive or late though. Enjoyed the stay overall and definitely recommend it!

Stayed Aug 4, 2025We received great instructions from the host, and so the check-in was smooth. This is an excellent location! All of the downtown businesses are within walking distance. We were fortunate to be at this location on a Saturday morning when the Salida Farmers Market was right across the street at Alpine Park! We loved our stay.

Stayed Jun 30, 2025Nice property in good neighborhood. no A/C as advertised, but much hotter than expected. Couldn't close windows during the day as recommended due to overall musty smell. Generally clean but floors gritty and window sills filthy. Frig and washing machine needed servicing. Kitchen well equipped except for non-stick pan. Owner/mgt intrusive - entered once with permission and another time with no notice.

Stayed Mar 17, 2025The property was perfect for our family of 3. We felt right at home in the little house with a lot of character and beautiful antiques. Beds were very comfortable and two bathrooms was great. We definitely used the laundry. Also notable was the amount of supplies there - toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent - we didn't have to provide any, even though I brought some.

Stayed Oct 17, 2024The house is very inviting, comfortable, with a lot of character. We enjoyed being able to walk to town and a special surprise was the farmer’s market across the street in the park. The communication with Amanda at Piñon Rentals was fabulous and she was so helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Sep 6, 2024Three night Get-Away with friends who were also celebrating their 25th anniversary in September. The house has a great location just a few blocks away from the downtown area. Across the street is a city park that hosts a Farmers Market on Saturdays. The park has two EV charging stations also. Awesome MTB trails nearby. We rode from the house 6 miles up into the Methodist Mtn trail system from CR 110 and W Spartan Trail. Super fun ride back down on Little Rainbow and Solstice trails. The house accommodated us comfortably. An older home that has been tastefully renovated. Large kitchen that is well stocked with service ware, etc. Small backyard with patio furniture and a nice gas grill. Beds were comfortable and quiet at night. Met our needs and we would rebook without hesitation.

Stayed Aug 28, 2024This was a great location near downtown Salida. Across the street is a nice park. Easy walk to restaurants, mountain biking, the river, and hiking. Parking is excellent. There's off street parking along the side of the property. We were towing a trailer and motorcycles and this allowed plenty of space for the vehicle in the trailer.
