We loved staying at Hillside Home. It’s private, clean, well equipped and overall a great space. The location was great for us and we would stay again.

We came to Salida to surprise my Mom. This place was absolutely amazing!!! Beautiful and very clean. Loved everything about it! And Jess, the property manager was very quick to respond to any of our concerns. The only thing that would be better is if the front yard was cleaned up from all the weeds.

Came to town for Fibark with a Buddy and we found this place. It was 1/2 between IW rafting and downtown Salida. Very quiet gem. Expect to be back next year if things work out.

We had a wonderful stay! The hot tub and house are both so clean, with plenty of kitchen supplies, etc.

Location of this house is great but on a fairly busy road with some traffic noise. There are no blinds or curtains in this house - they provide eye covers for sleeping but this info should be revealed in listing. Upper floor has loud creaking floors - we had to tip toe around as not to wake up our daughter downstairs. Master bedroom king size bed is hard - wife slept on couch for 3 nights. Kitchen is not stocked well for cooking big meals - only a few wobbly pots and a well used sautee pan available. Bathtub upstairs has a leaky drain and does not hold water. Shower heads seem congested and spray hard in random directions. Hot tub was wonderful!

The Hillside home is a wonderful spot that we would return to—beautiful views, close to town yet private. Plenty of space to spread out, super clean, and has everything you need for your stay. Highly recommend.

Casa Salida was just what we wanted for our one week family summer vacation. We had everything we needed for a perfect time. The special touches were a treat (local organic shampoo/conditioner which I loved so much I went to the local store and purchased). The beds were cozy and the family sitting area was a treat (kids could hang there while adults mingled on main floor). The hot tub was clean and a welcome treat after long hard hikes. Bights were cool and the large windows allowed the night breeze in to cool off the home perfectly. The star gazing sitting in the rocking chairs was incredible. We watched found constellations and saw shooting stars. The babbling stream outfront was the icing on the cake... so tranquil. Yes we will stay again! My hubby did not love that the home sits in between / busy streets but that didn't bother me with everything else this home offers in peace and tranquility. Jess, our host, was so great and will help you coordinate a perfect stay. Enjoy!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hillside Home, 1 mile from Salida. The house was clean and had fantastic amenties for our family. Our kids (8yo and 12yo) had a bedroom and bathroom to themselves, which pleased everyone. They also enjoyed the hot tub, available games, wifi, and streaming options on the TV (we all enjoyed these amenities). The robes provided were a nice touch, especially when going to/from the hot tub. There were eye masks/sleeping masks provided in the upper bedroom, this was very helpful in the early morning since the windows did not have coverings. Even though the windows did not have coverings it still felt private with the way the home is situated and in the end we didn't find the lack of window coverings to be a problem. We made several meals in the kitchen and used the grill, they had everything we needed. We spent the weekend skiing in Monarch and found the location to be very convenient to visit downtown Salida, easy to get to, as well as an easy drive to Monarch ski area. It is a beautiful property with the bonus of beautiful views as well! I would highly recommend a stay at this property, especially for a family with kids (young kids through teenagers alike).
