Stayed Sep 2, 2023We had a great stay! The house was very clean, comfy, and well-equipped. The only downside was being so far removed from everything, but then again, we also enjoyed the peace and solitude and found our way around pretty easily.

Stayed May 9, 2025Our daughter was graduating from Southern Illinois University and we had a bunch of family coming from all over to attend. We had a lot of different needs in our group and this property made it all work! Steve was great!

Stayed Apr 4, 2025It was all great, the host was very informative/helpful, the house was prepared ready wonderfully, the views (even though it was storming) were great. It was peaceful and relaxing. If i had any complaint at all, it would only be the chef knife needs sharpened. Otherwise everything was spectacular, and easy.

Stayed Mar 25, 2025This house was centrally located for us to visit a plethora of natural sites in the western/central portion of the Shawnee National Forest. It was wonderful coming home from long days of hiking to a fully stocked kitchen to make or heat our dinners, and to relax comfortably for the evening. The countryside setting was perfect for us to feel right at home.
