Oceanfront Beach House overlooking the Boardwalk

We chose this property primarily because of its proximity to the Boardwalk, but upon arrival we found there were several other accommodations that were actually much closer.The house itself was spacious and offered plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, which worked well for our group. However, the overall maintenance was disappointing. The garbage disposal was not functioning, which caused water to back up in the sink. Some of the burners on the induction cooktop would not stay on, limiting our ability to cook. We ensured that cookware remained properly positioned, but it shut off unexpectedly. The burner on the right was ok. The Traeger smoker could not be used because no pellets which was why we had to use the stove. The TV in the primary bedroom was also unusable because the Roku device was not receiving a signal. This was inconvenient as the other two televisions were already being used by the kids. We also encountered problems with both coffee makers. One still contained used coffee grounds from previous guests, and the other produced steam, but didn't brewed coffee.Overall, for the amount we paid, I expected the property and its amenities to be better maintained. While the home was clean and spacious, the number of maintenance issues detracted from our stay. Given the cost and the additional cleaning responsibilities that come with a vacation rental, I left feeling that a hotel stay would have provided better value and convenience.

This Santa Cruz house made for a dreamy beach getaway—ideal location within walking distance of the beach and pier, beautiful rooms, a well-appointed kitchen, and a great view. The owners were helpful and communicative and overall it was a lovely, easy vacation. Thank YOU!

Every review has covered how great the location is but I just have to stress how stunning the house itself is. CLEAN, well stocked with everything you need, a true home away from home.

Location was amazing. Easy to walk everywhere. House was in great shape. Very spacious for 9 of us. Kids all piled into the bunk room. It was a bit noisy overnight each night (traffic/re-supply trucks to boardwalk/seagulls!!) that it was tough to leave the windows open. Otherwise we had zero complaints.

What a fun place to stay for a Santa Cruz vacation. Loved 4th bedroom with 2 bunks, perfect for the kids. Loved 4 bathrooms. Walked to food and fun. We didn’t drive after we arrived, except for redwood hike at Cowell - gorgeous.

We absolutely loved our stay for our end of girl scout years! We loved thebhouse, the distance to everything was perfect. Truly enjoyed the house too! Perfect for people watching too! The train went by too. We could have stayed a lot longer comfortably.

Plenty of beds and bathrooms, and a large gathering space on each floor. It seemed strange that the lower floor had 2 large couches and the upper floor (with the kitchen) only had one (we like food). The dining table only sat 6, but we found a larger folding table in a closet and used that. Otherwise, it was a great place for a family gathering. The wharf and main beach are just across the road, which is very convenient. Noise wasn’t an issue, but we were there mid-May during the week. Highly recommended.

This home met all our expectations and more! The location is exactly what we were looking for. We could walk out the door and had everything we could want: the beach, the pier, the boardwalk, and all the restaurants and shops we could ask for. The house was set up perfectly for our family. There are beach toys in the garage for our use, kitchen fully equipped, and the views were amazing. The beds were comfortable and plenty of seating. We could have easily had multiple families here.

The house is wonderful and we were very comfortable and happy with our stay. We couldn’t check in on time because it was still being cleaned and we were not provided with a late checkout which doesn’t seem fair. We would definitely stay again in low season because the high season rates are out of our price range.

The place is exactly as pictured with great ocean views and lots of space with an upstairs and downstairs living room. Lots of walkable restaurants and basically across the street from the pier. Very convenient! Plenty of cookware and dishware to make yourself at home. It is on a one way street so it took a loop or two to find it for the first time. Just look for the blue house! Other than that no complaints whatsoever.
