We had an amazing experience! The rooms were clean and the host graciously provided ample supplies in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. Kids had a great time with the bunk beds and big screens. Very comfortable for 8 people and highly recommend for everyone who needs an affordable stay in Fairbanks.

The place was fine but needed some upkeep. Blackout drapes would be nice.

The host sent the check-in instructions on time and answered my questions before my stay through vrbo messages. The house was as advertised and fit us comfortably for the most part. It was cluttered and a little dirty though. There were clothes in the drier that did not belong to us.

What an incredible, clean and cozy cabin. We stayed as a family - parents and 3 kids, 14-11. Easy to find, easy check-in and check-out. It was obvious the hosts care for the property, their guests and making sure Alaska is well-represented. The Talkeetna town is close and adorable. We cooked, sat by the fire, read and watched movies. My 14 year old told me that he felt like it was an actual vacation because it was so relaxing. We saw the northern lights from the driveway and went moose-hunting. We didn't want to leave! Highly recommended!

It was a great cabin in the woods. Comfortable and cozy. Nothing fancy but everything you need. Very close to Talkeetna but it felt miles and miles away- in a good way. It was so peaceful and quiet. Did not really communicate with the hosts simply because it was not needed. Only MINOR issue was that we ran out of firewood on the first night and could not find more. We would definitely stay here again if we return to this area.

Loved the location, nice and quiet. Had everything we needed for our stay. Even a martini shaker and glass! The loft bedroom would have been a great place to stay, but not for us. We’re in late 60’s early 70’s. The stairs too steep for us. Thanks for a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay here. Tim was super responsive and flexible with us. The only thing I would like others to know that the two top bunks are pretty close to the ceiling (as they often are) so two people need to be ok with that situation. No big deal, just something to be aware of. Great stay, great host and great house.

It was a great spot to relax in the evening while we spent our days in and around Talkeetna and Denali.

Good location for activities in Talkeetna. There were 6 adults in our group - the upstairs loft requires one to climb a ladder to get to that bed - if anyone has issues with climbing a ladder - and managing taking luggage up that ladder - this may not be the place for you. This is a quaint and comfortable place. I would recommend a keypad for entry instead of a lockbox (could be easy to lose the key). Overall, it is the location to activities in Talkeetna that make this a good choice. Take bug spray - mosquitos are fierce. Host communicates very well!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! It was peaceful, serene, and the perfect place to relax. We had a wonderful stay during our Denali trip—especially when the sun came out and the clouds cleared just in time for us to see the stunning Denali peak! The location was ideal, close to charming downtown Talkeetna where we enjoyed delicious spinach garlic bread, pizza, ice cream, and scenic views of the river. A truly memorable experience!

Relaxing and quiet stay near Talkeetna.

This property was amazing. Close to talkeetna but quiet and in nature. Also in good spot for a denali view and national park visit. Very clean, cozy and comfy. Tim was also extremely friendly and responsive. Highly recommend!

This home, while located near other residences, is very quiet. You can hear the wildlife that is nearby and off in a distant location.2 bedrooms are located on the second floor. The 3rd bedroom is a loft with a ladder that you access from the 2nd floor. One bathroom is on the main floor while the other is on the second floor. There isn't a dishwasher but they do provide liquid dishwasher detergent for cleaning.Deck is not accessible during the Winter months due to snow.

This was our first trip to Alaska. Admittedly, we were probably not prepared for the rustic home environment.That being said, if you are ready for a real, out-in-the-woodscabin type experience, this setting will be perfect.The location was easy to find with Google Maps and entry to the house was easy. It's a short drive to Talkeetna.There are 2 sets of bunks. One requires climbing a ladder into a loft area. Both top bunks are very close to the ceilingand requires some awareness to avoid hitting one's head when getting up during the night.Tim, the host, was quick to respond and offer assistance when contacted.
