Near Highlands: 36-Acre Scaly Mountain Lodge

The kitchen was well equipped. loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. loved the outdoor areas, very nice landscaping.

Great cabin and very secluded, just what we were looking for. The cabin is WELL stocked with everything you need. As a family who travels a lot this place meet all my expectations and glad we booked. We look forward to returning in the future

What a beautiful setting with a spectacular view! We loved having so much privacy and space to explore. The fire pit was fabulous! They even supplied firewood and s’mores kits. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and a cozy fireplace. Carol was great and very responsive.

This is the most serene and peaceful place we have ever stayed, bar none! The view from the front deck is perfect - the most beautiful we have ever experienced! The surrounding garden is lush with so many beautiful plants and flowers - we lost count of all the butterfly species we spotted. The house is warm, inviting, and comfortable from top to bottom. The location seems so remote but is only fifteen or twenty minutes to any of the nearest towns. We, along with our pup, especially enjoyed the walking trail on the property and hanging out by the outside firepit in the evenings. Carol is such an accommodating host and provided all the essentials needed to make us feel welcome. We cannot wait to go back!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Tranquility Lodge. The private location and awesome view were better than we expected. After exploring area we looked forward to returning to house and spending hours enjoying the back porch. The place was very clean and well equipped. The host Carol was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend to others.

Wow, how do you describe a secluded location on the top of a mountain with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains? This was a perfect location for our mountain getaway. The owner provided everything but the food. This was one of the best VRBO locations that we had ever rented. From the spices in the cabinet to the toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathrooms to the firewood for the firepit, this place had just about anything one would need for comfort. The addition of outdoor lighting provided ample illumination to walk around the property at night. The bedrooms are large and provide plenty of space with large walking closets. Each bedroom also has its own fully stocked bathroom. I would highly recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle to negotiate the steep incline on a gravel road getting to this home. We had no issues on our first time up the driveway in 2-wheel drive but used 4-wheel drive any time we came back to the property. Keep in mind that the closest grocery store is Piggly Wiggly in Dillard, GA which is about 6.6 miles away, so stock up before you show up. For entertainment, I would highly recommend Highlands Aerial Park for zipline adventures and The Vinyard at High Holly, both are only minutes away. We also played golf at Sky Valley Resort and the course is fabulous. In closing, I would like to thank the owners for sharing this beautiful location. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have taken in a long time. We will not hesitate to book this location.
