Mystic Shores on Lake Murray

This is an excellent property. This is a genuinely honest review.The instructions for entry and exit were perfect. It is well equipped in the living areas, kitchen and baths. The welcome bag was quite nice for starting essentials. The outdoor area has everything you need for fun and relaxation. There is plenty of seating indoors and out.The best part of this property is the cleanliness. A number of properties on Lake Murray do not take cleanliness seriously. We have rented 7 times in the area. In this day and age when every virus is lurking- (especially on cruise ships and short term rentals)-that is a NO-NO! Mystic Shores has out shone all of the others. Mystic Shores on Misty Lane has clean window sills, light fixtures, and baseboards! Wow! The bedrooms and bathrooms are sparkling. The windows and exterior are clean! I knew when I picked up the throw blankets that they had been freshly laundered. The bathroom rugs are CLEAN ! Not just shaken out. We really appreciate every extra step it takes to make this property so clean because we were able to actually relax and not re-wash all the dishes before using. I really hope other property owners take note of this review. And I also hope other renters would be more honest in their reviews. April was on top of our every need and her communication was within moments even though she was out of the country during our visit. We will return to this property because it ticks all the boxes.

My family was gathering to attend a first birthday party for my one year old grandson in West Columbia. We loved sitting in the backyard and enjoying the lake view together. Thank you for your hospitality!!

We rented this place for the weekend to celebrate our son’s 13th birthday, and it could not have been more perfect! The stunning views alone were unforgettable, and having such an amazing host truly was the cherry on top.I was searching for a space where our family could gather and celebrate him in a special way, and this location absolutely knocked it out of the park. The kids were constantly entertained with the paddle boards, kayaks, and water trampoline! It kept them busy and happy the entire weekend!It was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun, and we made memories we’ll never forget. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at this lake house. The property was clean, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a relaxing lakeside escape. The view of the water was beautiful—especially in the early morning—and the outdoor space made it easy to enjoy coffee, fishing, or just unwinding by the lake.

Great location to stores and town of Lexington. Lot is private with a great yard not too far from the lake. Perfect little sunroom for breakfast and dinner viewing the lake. Sunsets are amazing. Host was extremely personable and hospitable. Always a quick response for communication - some owners are not as diligent on reply’s. Pet friendly is always an essential for us and host was friendly and didn’t have a million questions about the topic ! 10/10 would recommend. Of course home was clean and stocked with essentials and a welcome bag was top notch hospitality. Thank you for a great time!

We had a great stay at Mystic Shores! The home was well appointed and had just about everything we needed. The house was decorated with great care and attention to detail and looked fabulous, just as in the photos. The lake access was perfect and the location in the lake was ideal. The host was wonderful and communication was easy and quick. Definitely recommend! You won’t be disappointed.

We had a WONDERFUL time! Thank you Strouds for sharing your beautiful lakefront property. Everything in the home echos COMFORT . They truly go above and beyond in the amenities. The kayaks and bounce pad kept us entertained for hours. We napped in the ultra soft king bed. Peaceful chairs and porch to read or just relax. Our pup loved the outdoors too. Comfy couches and blankets to watch a movie in the evening. Spacious kitchen to make meals in. Did I mention the porch?! I could have just lounged there ALL day. We hope to return again! We had a fantastic time staying at this property. The property was exactly as described. It is beautifully decorated, clean and stock with everything we could need. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was furnished with all the essentials needed to prepare our meals. The location was peaceful and private.The host was very welcoming, helpful, and responsive. Our check-in process was seamless.We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend time at Lake Murray!
