We found this listing at the last minute for a quick weekend getaway and couldn't be more pleased. This lovely mountain home is even more beautiful than the photos and the owner is the best! We found check-in easy, welcome goodies in the fridge, parking was a breeze (right by the door) and the cute town of Marshall was only a short drive away. Quiet and comfortable - exactly what we were looking for!

This home is quite private with amazing views yet close enough to downtown Marshall. Easy access to groceries and gas. I also made two trips to Weaverville downtown which is an easy drive. Lots of artists and musicians in the area. The owner was as nice as anyone could be. I felt especially lucky to get a slice of delicious cake as well. Felt like a nice home away from home. Very inviting atmosphere.

The pictures simply do not do this place justice. My husband and I wanted a quiet weekend out in nature and it was even better than expected. It's tucked away in 50+ acres, views galore, cannot see a neighbor no matter which way you look, but downtown Marshall and Ingles is only 10 mins away. We had great communication with the owner prior, clear directions, easy to find, house was as described but better. From the stocked chefs kitchen to the comfy furniture, the view from the deck, it was all perfect. It rained the first full day so we spent it with the doors open, listening to the rain on the tin roof, watching the turkeys cross the road and reading. We woke up to a gorgeous sunrise over the mountain and enjoyed breakfast with a view. I have zero complaints or critiques...such a beautiful home and property. We are currently planning our next visit ❤️

This was a great home to spend an extended weekend in for a family gathering. The house has plenty of room, a long deck with a view of the valley below and hills beyond, a great room with a well-equipped kitchen, and a lot of books and amusing nick-nacks on the shelves. This place has character. McRae was a great host. He was there to greet us when we arrived, and he let us know if we needed something he lives nearby. He sincerely wants his guests to feel at home and enjoy their stay. Asheville is an easy drive less than a half-hour away, and there is a large Ingles grocery store about ten minutes away.

The house is lovely and was a great size for the 6 of us that stayed there. There were amazing views and great open, shared areas for hanging out in there are great outdoor activities nearby. McRae was a great host, very friendly and quick to respond to my inquiries.

Quiet, rural setting with grounds to roam. We brought our dog who had as much fun as we did. Good restaurants within 30 minute drive. Home was immaculate and the host close by and attentive when asked. We hope to return.
