Mountain-side Villa with view to the coast, ideal to relax, complete with Pool.

We stayed 5 nights in this beautiful house in Monchique which is easy to get to, no terrible dirt roads, steep hills etc., which was quite important for us. The pool and the terrace are the best, we spend almost the whole time there. The house could use a little make over in the kitchen and the mattresses are very hard which is usual in Portugal but a problem if you are not used to it. Also the sun beds were not so nice any more. We used the grill which is a nice addition to the kitchen.You will be in nature, so be aware that there are a lot of ants, also if you keep the kitchen clean, and other insects.The owners reacted immediately when there was a problem with the pool.Overall we loved our stay, the pool, the view and the total calm made it unforgettable. I would come back!

We all enjoyed a wonderful week in the house. Very well equipped. pool and bbq fantastic. Close to small town with supermarket. 30 min drive to most costal towns. Beds and mattresses could do with an up grade but did not spoil our holiday. We will definitely recommend and certainly be back. Highly recommend this house.

Pure Relaxing.

Great Villa with lovely pool,which we used daily. House had everything we needed. Close to town with a sensational view all the way down to the Atlantic. Very quiet area with no traffic. On the negative side, better mattresses would be a improvement.

Location was fabulous with beautiful views from the balcony and an excellent base for walks along easy tracks with stunning views. The villa was well appointed with everything needed in the kitchen and comfortable furniture. The pool was really cold, but that was reflective of the weather at the time. There were a few minor points - the shower was good but the cubicle needs a bit of attention, the cd player doesnt work, there was no facility for bluetooth, apparently Portugal does not permit streaming of IPlayer and there were no board games so evenings after dark were quiet (worth taking a speaker) We also found the double bed exceptionally hard (would have purchased a mattress improver if we were staying longer) However such things were insignificant compared to the beauty of the scenery and the peace and tranquility.

Great location. Close to the beautiful town of Monchique. The villa had everything we required to have an enjoyable family holiday. The kids loved it and we're never out of the pool. Supermarket and restaurants were about 5min drive away in Monchique. Around a 30min drive to the coast and waterparks. It was very hot during our stay and air conditioning would have been a welcome addition as the fans provided did little to cool us down. We had an issue with ants in the kitchen, but managed to resolve this. The kitchen was dated but added to the feature of the home. The sun loungers need to be upgraded and some tiles came loose in the pool. Overall, a great stay. We would be happy to return.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Golfinhos. The house is located in a very quiet area and has a fantastic view from the terraces and the swimming pool. Restaurants, shops etc.can be found in the near area (by car).

The villa is in a very quite location. The perfect spot to calm down and enjoy the nature of the beautiful area. The house comes with nearly everything you need. In the kitchen you'll find a coffee maker, microwave, oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The Dining and living room are spacious and you have the wonderful view overlooking the mountains. You can even see the ocean. On the terrace is a wonderful barbecue place just around the corner of the sitting area. So you won't get bothered by the smoke from the fire place. The pool is just awesome and there a enough sunbeds to work on your tan. Make sure you bring detergent for the washing machine.

We were 3 adults. Everyone of us had his own sleeping room with a double bed. Those are actually not that comfortable. But the rest of the house including a chimney, pool, huge garden, BBQ spot including a grill was awesome. Nothing beats that amazing view to Portimao and to the racetrack you don't have to pay extra for. All together I'd highly recommend that house. The hospitality by Maria and Frank was fantastic.
