This place worked out great for a quick ski weekend at Monarch. Really appreciated the close proximity to the mountain. As mentioned in other reviews, wifi/mobile signal was pretty weak. And other amenities were somewhat lacking. Fortunately we didn't need much for this trip - mostly just a soft place to rest after some full days on the hill, to which this accomplished. Loved the views out the big windows - would've been better if they were clean, and a fresh blanket of snow had fallen.

The biggest issue we had with this property was the temperature. No matter what we did with the thermostats, the basement was so hot that our kids slept with windows open, but we couldn't get the main floor to warm up. One morning we woke up and it was 55 degrees. Our host assured us that she would look into this problem after the new year, but there is a review detailing this same problem from September 2025, so I doubt anything will be done about it. Other issues:- The wifi is not high speed as advertised. This wasn't a problem for us, but there is no cell service either, so if you need a fast connection plan on bringing a hot spot.- We were told we couldn't use the wood burning stove, which I assume was installed as supplemental heat for the main floor- The staircase is spiral with metal stairs. Treads would have been helpful to prevent slipping.- There is a garage, but we weren't allowed to use it. This wasn't made clear in the listing.- Broken light fixture in main floor bathroom- There was a coat closet, but hooks by the door would have been convenient- Broken lamp in one of the bedrooms- Broken dishwasher door- Unfinished railing on exterior stairs - watch out for slivers- There is an ice maker in the fridge but it's not hooked up. Ditto reverse osmosis faucet in kitchen sink. But hey, the location is great.

There were plusses and minuses with this property. On the plus side: great location, plenty of wildlife sightings, beautiful views, nice kitchen, large washer and dryer.on the minus side:Poor maintenance. All the windows were filthy and streaked which made looking out not enjoyable at all, especially when the sun was out. place had a ping pong table, however only 1 working paddle to use. The other one had no padding, just wood making playing not possible. This was disappointing since we were really looking to play.given the wrong wifi password. Fortunately it was listed on router.the railing on the front steps was raw wood, and got slivers any time was touched.very close to 50 so always road noise.eating area very uncomfortable. Was just a counter with small, uncomfortable bar stools.

Great location. Property manager was easy to communicate with and check in/out was easy. Loved the layout and ping pong table!! Only issues we had were regulating the temperature in the house. Very warm in the downstairs bedrooms no matter how low we had the thermostats, had to open windows. Also not many towels and the mattresses were pretty uncomfortable. Between the hot rooms and the thin mattresses, made sleeping a little difficult. If you are cooking for a big family, need to bring a large pot and large skillet. Also bring a can opener. FYI: Dryer takes a while to dry. Had to keep adding extra time after normal dry cycle complete. All minor things. Overall great place, just needs a few adjustments.

The place was a good price, pretty well stocked and fit out needs for ski weekend at monarch. The host was very responsive and amendable to an early check-in if the cleaning crew was finished. There is a spiral staircase, so heads up for those with little ones. The beds could be softer. Quiet neighborhood and easy to park at. Overall would recommend.

The house was sitting on a beautiful scenery. And we made it work. The WiFi was challenging as the signal wasn’t great. The house shocking you was something I thinking needs to be looked into.. and the radiant heat doesn’t seem to always work.. she did have someone working on that so I’m sure that will be fixed. Her communication was on point it’s just with the WiFi glitching there was no way to recieve it at times. We had a wonderful stay. A word for thought if you don’t want to allow people to utilize the fireplace it should not be an amenity. Some people look forward to sit in front of an fire in the snow season..

First, the view is amazing from every window. The sunrises and sunsets cannot be beat! My sisters and I were disappointed that the house is advertised as having 2-1/2 bathrooms and five bedrooms but one bedroom and ensuite bathroom are actually locked and unavailable to us. (We would have appreciated the extra bathroom!) We also never had access to the internet during our five-day stay, and could only send texts. There is a tight spiral staircase to the lower floor so be aware if you are bringing the very young or the very old! (We didn't need to use it but a fireplace is advertised but we were told to not use it.)

Great location. Yes, you are off US 50, but between you and the highway, there are two creeks that will drown out any road noise with running water. The place itself is well thought out. The windows alone make the place seem huge and offer great views. Hummingbirds are all over. It's quite, on a dead end street, with access to fishing and 4x4ering beyond that all the way to Monarch Crest. Would be a great place to stay for skiing Monarch too.

Views, space, comfortable fun furnishings, well hosted and located gem. Perfect combination of off-beaten-path though near plenty of Colorado fun, hidden gem destinations and short ways to restaurants. Left crowds behind with expansive views, eco-sense and proximity to the Colorado trail. Great stay.
