Lovely 4 Bed House With Pool, Walking Distance To Beach

House was perfect for our situation. Just a short walk to a beautiful beach. Within close driving distance to many restaurants. Fantastic bakery within a 5 minute walk. As North Americans, we were shocked that no amenities were provided such as beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, shampoo etc. I guess that it is not common in Europe to provide those things. They are things that we cannot bring all that way in our luggage. We made it work though.

Mixed weather meant we could not take full advantage of the outside villa. Stunning beach 5 m8nute walk away with 2 great beachside restaurants with fab cocktails and food.Beds linnen and towels great quality.Very well socked kitchen with crockery utensilsand 0lenty pots abd serving dishesMinor but a bread knife and working corkscrew is needed slong with a sturdy clothes horse for hanging washing outside.We did not bring a haidryer as the billa was advertised as having one.I dare say if we had contacted the owner one would have been brought to the villa.The bakery,.shop come cafe restaurant 5 minutes walk away had everything needed and we used it every morning for coffee and padtried.vey reasonable and delicious it wad too.All in all we would use villa again but leave it to later in theseadon .

Everything was great.

We loved the house and location however it took (2) days of heating the house to get the chill to retreat and make it tolerable . The tile floors on the first floor retained the cold; so we retreated to the upstairs bedroom to warm up to sleep. We are sure it would be a more pleasant experience in the summer months

We come to Portugal every year, staying in new places all the time, 12 people or more. This property was very close to an incredible beach, when i say close i mean less than 5 min walk with young ones at heel. They came and changed the sheets and kept things clean, the icky thing i missed that we usually see is someone cleaning the pool, but the tools where handily they're and the kids loved to do it. We will most likely come back! Definitely recommended

We stayed here with our extended Portuguese family for a long overdue reunion and ot was all great. A few little issues to start with, very promptly tended to and understandeable for the start of season. A great house, with all the necessary facilities. Well equipped, well located. Only a short walk to the beach and a quick 7 to 10 minute drive to any supermarket you choose. Very short drive to the Monte Gordo village with good restaurants and great walking paths along the beach. Overall an amazing stay in a very good house. Thank you so much. We had many tears from young to old when leaving....

Check in was easy and house was in order. After that things went downhill. House didn't have any of the normal extras like salt and pepper, dish soap, hand soap etc. I've come to expect with VRBO listings. (We were left 2 dishwasher pods and 2 laundry pods-not adequate for 4 people doing their cooking at home for 5 nights). 2 of the wine glasses in the cupboard were cracked and a 3rd broke in my hand while towel drying it. Owner states he lives nearby but was not responsive for nearly 24 hours when the sink backed up, the dishwasher leaked all over the floor and the hot water went out. Fortunately my friend was able to figure out the hot water problem so we didn't have to take any more cold showers. His agent (who was a gem when she finally came) is only available during office hours, so if you have a problem in the evening or weekend (which we did) you're out of luck. There was no hand soap or garbage receptacles in either bathroom and no place to hang a hand towel in the upstairs bathroom for washing hands. Lastly, the house sprung a leak in the bathroom upstairs and we had to line the area behind the toilet with towels for 2 days. I've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this was by far the most expensive I've ever rented. It's only the 2nd poor review I've ever left. I think the house was recently renovated and we were the unlucky problem finders and owner didn't seem very concerned.
