lakefront home on Houghton Lake

The cottage was very clean. Small but cozy and cute, great location on the lake. Upstairs flooring was very creaky/loud. We didn’t get to take advantage of the lake, but could see how the summer months would be perfect to swim right out your back door. Enjoyed our stay. Host was great with communication and left a nice bottle of wine and wine opener for the guest. Great touch

The host was kind and helpful. The house met our needs. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the lakehouse. The only negative is that I personally didn't think that it was worth the money. It's a nicely refurbished older home in a town that is not great. Also the listing states that there is a hot tub, not true, there is a bathtub with jets.

Great pick for a family vacation! House has everything you need and right on the water. No complaints we had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Check in was easy based on thorough instructions we received in advance. The house had everything we needed and then some - oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, refrigerator with a spare fridge in the garage, dish ware and silverware. WiFi was high speed for work check ins and streaming services. Directions for driving to the home were clear and detailed. We enjoyed the lake for boating, fishing, kayaking, lily padding and wading and swimming! The house had great beds and good space for cooking, relaxing and being together. Very comfortable and well furnished with spectacular sunsets!

This is our fourth stay at this property. Brandi is very easy to work and responds quickly to texts. Love staying here.

Nicely updated cottage on the South East side of Houghton Lake. Convenient to shopping on M 55 and there is a nice fruit and vegetable market just across the street. Well stocked kitchen. Nice living room with gas fireplace. Lake is right off the deck so nice to sit on swing and listen to the waves hit the sea wall. We had a few problems but property manager was responsive in getting back with us. Bedrooms were good size. Bathrooms were nice.

Our family of three and another friends family of four stayed together. This house was situated right on the lake with a lower and upper deck. They had kayaks, a stand up paddle board, a Lilly pad mat for floating, and kids beach toys. There was a fire pit and grill. A walking distance restaurant/bar for those that want to get out of the house. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. The AC worked well. Would go back.

Everything was great, all if ny guests fell in love with how well the home is taken care of and all amenities provided.

Everything was great, except the fact that the driveway was covered with 2-3 feet of snow for us to shovel upon arrival. The snow had been there for a very long time as it was hard like ice in most spots. It took my son and I close to 46 minutes to get 3/4 of it knocked down and our other guests arrived to help. I threw my back out and was down for the count once I got home, couldn’t move for 2 days out of my bed. The road to the house was plowed, it sure would’ve been a common courtesy to have that plowed for us. I sent the owner a message about it after we left and she never even responded back to me.

A great place to stay on Houghton Lake. Great view, fire pit, cozy cottage. My family had a great stay. Very clean and easy check in.

The house sits right on the water on the south east side of Houghton Lake. Beautiful views, especially from the upstairs balcony. Host was super friendly and proactively in communication from a few days prior to our arrival thru departure

Houghton Lake is a gorgeous lake that we thoroughly enjoyed staying on. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, and the outdoor space was beautiful.

Great view in a good location. Has everything you'd need for a fun family vacation.

Brandi is a wonderful host and so easy to deal with, she does everything possible to make your stay fantastic. This is my second stay and have already booked for next year.

This is our second time booking this cabin and we hate leaving. We had so much fun and Brandi is the perfect host. We cannot wait to come back.

Great property. We have stayed before and hope to again even though we always forget to do something.

The house was clean the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would possibly need. Lots of out door toys for the kids, plenty of chairs, fishing and boating supplies as well.

The view was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. We found a broken kayak paddle when we went to use them. Brandi said she would order a new one. However, the main reason we chose this house was the use of kayaks, so we were disappointed to only have one working paddle with the two kayaks. Some of the beds were uncomfortable. The house was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The outside area was nice for hanging out and relaxing. Brandi responded quickly to questions.
