Joy Cottage Lighthouse & Harborview, an Ultimate ME Vacation Home

The property was very nice and it was good to have the fenced yard for our dog and an outdoor area for sitting. We would like to have been closer to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

We had an amazing stay—the home is beautiful and in a perfect location. The only area for improvement would be the management company, but overall, this is a wonderful place that we would still recommend.

Lovely home with beautiful view. The house is n a beautiful quiet neighborhood with an amazing view. The kitchen was perfect as we cooked a lot. Beds are extremely comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay - the house has nice views of the bay, a well stocked kitchen, comfortable living room and in a quiet location.

Can't say enough about the property. It was the perfect mix of modern renovation and authentic vintage farmhouse. And Prospect Harbor, Winter Harbor, and Acadia National Park were a delight. We definitely look forward to returning for another visit here.

Outstanding property with upgraded appliances, fenced yard for our pup and the most peaceful front patio overlooking Prospect Harbor. My entire family thoroughly enjoyed our trip and it will go down in the books as one of our favorites. 10/10!

This “Back Door” location made for a relaxing, tranquil experience. The setup allowed our 2 families to have enough rooms, Beds, Baths and hot water to enjoy our 5 days together.The backyard grll and fire pit came in handy and there were even a couple of nearby casual eateries that were surprisingly good. The local fresh fish and chowder markets were amazing and great to bring home and enjoy. The home was neat, clean and roomy with a wonderful fenced yard for our small dog. There is no direct water access from the property but that was not an issue for us.The mgt team was prompt, professional and friendly as well.We had a great time!

Joy Cottage is wonderfully charming and the absolute cleanest VRBO we’ve stayed in. We loved its location away from the crowds of Bar Harbor and its proximity to sleepy Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Path.

The quintessential New England farmhouse! This property was perfect for us and our two golden retrievers. The fenced in yard was perfect for our girls. Great location close to the Schoonic Peninsula and just one hour to Bar Harbor. This was a perfect getaway for our family.

We came here for stargazing because this area has a fairly dark sky on the dark sky maps, and it was cloudy and rainy the whole time — BUT!!! This home was wonderful, warm, cozy and comfortable. A terrific place to come back to after a rainy day hike. We watched movies, played games, completed jigsaw puzzles, all courtesy of the thoughtfulness of the home owner. A wonderful, charming home. Thank you for the many nice touches!

It is technically waterfront, but we could not walk over to the water because we could not cross the large expanse of private property that was between us and the water. Otherwise, the house was very attractive, the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked. The stairs to the second floor were a bit challenging and not for people with mobility problems. However, there is a bedroom and full bath on the first floor. All in all, very nice place.

We enjoyed an amazing stay here! The location is absolutely stunning and is located in a very quiet neighborhood. The house was very comfortable with a great fenced in yard and firepit in the backyard, and was equipped with everything else you would need to enjoy a Maine getaway!
