Stayed Jul 17, 2024The location was the reason we booked since we had an event at the Marriott at the square. The walk was easy and it was WONDERFUL to come back to a quiet, fully appointed townhome with beer in the fridge instead of a garden variety hotel room with noisy conventioneers up and down the hallways at all hours. The hosts were quick to respond to messages. Furnishings are comfortable and newish. I would mention that the last stair on the first flight is a little steep so don't be surprised. And the 2-car parking is for 2 COMPACT cars. The Accura sedan poked out into the alley a few inches. But the parking was appreciated especially for safety and security! I think we'll be staying again NEXT year for this convention!

Stayed Apr 6, 2026Location was great! Walkable to many cool and memorable places in Lancaster. We have a very Large Yukon and parking was a bit difficult in the provided space. We had a bit of initial trouble getting ahold of our host when we arrived on the property but fortunately it wasn’t for anything major. Host was very gracious and brought us some light bulbs and soap (these were missing from our house). The house itself was very cozy and obviously an older home. Decorations were very good for the space and it was a nice little spot to retreat between various outings. They had a little binder with recommended options if things to do. Overall great place to rent. I’d rent again was good for my family of 6.

Stayed Feb 27, 2026The host, Justin, was very attentive. The location was central to everything we needed. It was close to the Central Market and a lot of restaurants in the area. It was also very close to Franklin and Marshall.

Stayed Jan 16, 2026Perfect location to access all of Downtown Lancaster on foot. Parked our car on the property and had an easy load in. We found a charming and clean house with tons of character and thoughtful amenities. The beds were comfortable with quality mattresses, slept well. We would stay here again without hesitation, highly recommended.

Stayed Nov 7, 2025This was a beautiful home for our weekend girls trip. The house was clean with a modern vibe. Lots of extra touches that went above and beyond (k-cups for morning coffee win!). Host was very responsive and helpful with suggested restaurants etc. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Lancaster in the future.

Stayed Sep 18, 2025This was our 3rd time staying at a VRBO in Lancaster, and this was in a much better location to our anchor point (F&M campus). Super clean, host was incredibly easy to work with and responsive.

Stayed Aug 20, 2025Great location, very clean, and comfortable! While we loved the character of the old building, we were completely unprepared for the extensive construction on the narrow road right outside our door. The roadwork created a significant amount of noise and dust, which sadly resulted in an asthma attack and allergic reactions. The space was perfect our family and hopefully this was just a one off experience.

Stayed Jun 24, 2025The house is very nice and set up for any thing you could need. Beautifully decorated and nice parking (but good for 1 small car, our medium SUV was very snug). AC did not work at all in front queen bedroom and it had a constant odor of smoke. Not sure if from vent or wall from neighbor. That person ended up sleeping on the living room couch. The twin bed mattresses up stairs are not meant for adults.

Stayed Apr 11, 2025This is a lovely townhome. The living room space and kitchen were perfect for our girlfriends weekend. The bedrooms were great - beds very comfortable and the full bathroom was also just right. It's a great location to all things in downtown Lancaster.

Stayed Mar 6, 2025We stayed here for a long weekend for a swim meet at Franklin and Marshall-easy commute to the university. Cute, and cozy house-we had everything we needed to cook and do laundry. Pet friendly house a bonus and our do was very comfortable here too. Great location. All other reviews about the parking were on target-really only 1 space if you don’t have compact cars. We had 2 cars and over the weekend had no issues finding street parking around the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Nov 8, 2024This place was a great central Lancaster place to stay. It is renovated nicely. There's room to spread out due to multiple floors, gathering spots, lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. It inspired warmth and coziness. The kitchen was well-equipped with working appliances. The hosts were detailed in their instructions which was very helpful. Would have no reservation in booking this find again.

Stayed Oct 16, 2024Our stay in downtown Lancaster at the row house was good. Location was convenient and walkable to most areas of interest. Communication with host was quick and very responsive. House was cute and had plenty of towels and needed accessories and kitchen ware. Queen beds very comfortable. Note: Stairs to second floor quite steep and uneven if you have any mobility issues. It was great to have a designated parking area for our car.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024This was a long planned weekend getaway for four girlfriends. The location could not have been better and the house was perfect for our needs. Comfortable beds, and well appointed kitchen and living room. We were able to walk everywhere, which was great because parking in those tiny little spots was quite the challenge. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Sep 19, 2024The 3 of us enjoyed the location of the row home. We walked everywhere. The neighborhood is pleasant and the neighbors are friendly. Parking is basically for 1 car. I have a Q8 and was not comfortable with backing in my vehicle b/c the front end was in the alley a couple feet. I ended up parallel parking instead. It’s definitely meant for 2 compact (2-door jeep wrangler size vehicles.

Stayed Sep 12, 2024A friend and I stayed at Getaway on Grant and we were very impressed. The house is just as you see in the pictures...very clean, well appointed, comfortable, quiet and in a great location. It was a short walk to Central Market and the surrounding shops and restaurants. We easily drove to Lititz and Manheim to explore those towns as well. Justin communicated in a timely fashion and it was apparent that he wants his guests to feel at home. As others mentioned, the parking space is not big so larger vehicles may have a little trouble but, otherwise, I would recommend this stay to anyone visiting Lancaster.

Stayed Aug 10, 2024Our stay at the Gateway on Grant was truly delightful. The residence was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. We loved the art decor, which showcased local artists. Justin and Krista, in charge, exhibited exceptional communication, ensuring efficient access to the premises. The various amenities, including parking for our two small vehicles, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and an inviting ambiance, contributed to a homely experience. Furthermore, the strategically located house significantly elevated our experience. Its proximity to downtown facilitated unhindered exploration of the dynamic culinary landscape. We wholeheartedly recommend the Gateway on Grant as an exceptional place to stay for those seeking a flawless blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Our stay was memorable and delightful. We look forward to returning.

Stayed Jul 25, 2024This historic townhouse was exactly has pictured. Kitchen well stocked (nice pod coffeemaker!) , bedding/towels very comfortable, and it just felt like a nice home. As I was in town for a family reunion, having a dedicated parking space was huge – BUT downtown (restaurants, coffee, supermarket, shopping etc.) was an easy and enjoyable short walk away. The communication channels were timely and always received a quick and friendly response. Of course, the sweet old porch dog across the alley was a plus for me! Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed Jul 31, 2024As two elderly ladies (70s), my sister-in-law and I truly enjoyed this beautiful well-appointed house with everything we needed on our four-day business trip. That it came with parking was even more of a plus. Beds were comfortable, baths are modern, and there was plenty of hot water. In keeping with the antique charm of this home, the stairs are a bit steep. The kitchen has everything we needed to dine in. I would highly recommend this home for an extended stay in Lancaster. Sorry to leave it behind!
