Stay centrally and explore effortlessly - all your vacation needs in one spot!
Visit Seward, Cooper Landing, Soldotna, Whittier, Hope, Girdwood and all of Kenai Peninsula from one convenient base.
Stay connected in our home with Wifi and a reliable cellular signal; amenities not consistently available in the surrounding area.
Escape the noise of traffic! Our home is nestled away from the hustle of the Seward Highway but still convenient to get back on the road quickly.
The home features a king size bed and ensuite 1/2 bathroom on the ground level. The ground level has its own entrance/exit leading to the backyard and stairs to access the upper levels. The ground level has a washer/dryer and blackout curtains on all windows for light sensitive guests.
The loft bedroom features a queen size bed and is accessed via a ladder-style staircase. The footing is very secure and there is a handrail, but it is steep and not recommended for young children or if you have accessibility issues. Not all windows have blackout curtains in the loft and light sensitive sleepers will prefer the basement bedroom.
The second level features a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, dining table, full bathroom and living area. There's an outdoor table on a deck, with spectacular panoramic mountain views.
The entire home is yours and self catering. Your own transportation is mandatory as there is no reliable public transportation in the area.
Any VRBO home or hotel in Alaska you choose for your holiday may have unexpected situations or things that make people uncomfortable. This includes some things Alaska is famous for like mosquitos! There are also flies, spiders, dangerous wildlife and loose dogs. Enjoying the great outdoors requires full awareness.
Uncommon situations happen, such as the electricity going out for hours or days. Smoke and wild fires happen somewhere in Alaska every summer. Rain can last for days. The wind can blow hard day and night or it could be unusually hot with no A/C available in most of Alaska.
Last but not least, there will be road construction and this could delay your travels and make you late for excursions. Other roads have pot holes and no pavement, driving in Alaska requires your full awareness and attention.
Great base for exploring Seward and other Kenai locations. Beautiful location with great views. Everything was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We absolutely loved our stay! The home was clean and well stocked. We all love the pictures of the host’s travels and the views were spectacular. If we ever get back to moose pass will stay again.
We came here for our Honeymoon and it was the perfect home away from home. Everything we could have ever needed was available to us and if we needed anything further the hosts were incredibly accommodating. Our trip went without a hitch. There’s nothing we would have changed about our stay. It was the perfect location, day trips to each place we went too with lots of hiking nearby as well. Everything was clean, operated well and the bed was so so comfortable!!!
The house was so beautifully decorated and the view was outstanding! Had everything we needed. We loved having morning and evening coffee/tea at the table with the view. So calming and relaxing! Unfortunately we had a lot of hiking and tours planned in kenai fjords so didn’t get to spend as much time as we would’ve liked at the house. It was great to come home to such a nice quiet place! Convenient location to Seward and Coopers Landing. Highly recommend. Matt was very responsive and helpful!! Would love to stay again.
Great property- located near main roads but far enough away that you feel as though you are in your own private oasis. Owners are super and offeredsuggestions on where to hike. The smoked salmon welcome plate was delicious!
We absolutely loved our stay in Moose Pass! This home is perfect for couples or a small group. Sitting outside on the outdoor deck enjoying the views of the mountain was one of the highlights of our trip. If you are visiting this area, don't hesitate and book this now!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - house was very clean and comfortable. In a quiet and scenic setting . Perfect place to relax . The location was excellent for exploring the south side of the peninsula yet not far from Anchorage. Many hiking trails close to the house . Matt and Lana were quick. kind communicators and fantastic hosts. Would highly recommend a stay here !
Our stay was great! The place was charming with Matt, the host, very helpful and accommodating. The kitchen was stocked to the max.
Everything was great, house was immaculate, everything as expected from the listing. Lots of seasonings and spices, etc. We would love to stay again sometime!
We could not have a better location for our family of four (including two teens) to attend a wedding at the Inn at Tern Lake and then spend a week day-tripping all over the Kenai Peninsula. The cabin is adorable and well-stocked. I would advise getting your groceries in Anchorage or Seward as the local stores are more convenience stores than full-service grocery. The cabin has a great selection of spices and some basic staples, along with extensive cookware and serving supplies. Rooms are tastefully decorated and beds were comfortable. Kids enjoyed taking over the loft as their personal space. We wish the weather had been more conducive to spending time on the deck and in the yard. The hosts were welcoming and responsive when needed. The welcome appetizer was a lovely touch. Thank you for a memorable week!
We had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, the property well kept and the owners were super. We spent 5 nights there and would come back again.
First of all Matthew has been amazing from the very beginning, offering guidance and advice on things to do and what to see and answering any questions right off the bat! He was very easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to any and all questions we had during our stay. He even went out of his way to leave us a couple homemade snacks which were absolutely delicious! This property was gorgeous! The views from the living room window were like a fairytale. The property had great privacy, beautiful views, flowers and garden, and was a great jump off point to multiple different day trips. We loved this place so much we are even considering a property of our own in the area. Would highly recommend to anyone, although would recommend with the layout that if you have kids they be old enough to climb a steep ladder up to the second loft bedroom but not a deal breaker by any means. All in all I would definitely stay here again, it had everything we needed and more and the host was phenomenal! Thank you Matthew!
Matthew was a wonderful host and kept in close communication. We had a schedule change due to an airline issue and he was extremely flexible about it. House was stunning and surrounding location was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.
The place is very cute, well stocked, and the property is private and lovely. The location is excellent proximity to both Seward and Coopers Landing for all the Kenai Peninsula has to offer. Hosts are incredibly helpful and responsive. A+ rental.
Great clean house with any amenities a 48er would desire. Host is fantastic and communicative. We even saw a moose wander through the backyard one morning. Highly recommended
