Moose Pass, Alaska
Built by a renowned log cabin expert in 1982, the Paradise Cabin has been recently updated, is surrounded by the Chugach National Forest and directly next to the famous Moose Pass 'swimming hole'. This cabin is private, clean, cozy and perfect for a couple or small family looking to experience the many activities of the Kenai Peninsula. Perfectly located close to the beautiful seaside city of Seward, world-class king salmon fishing in Cooper Landing, and the charming town of Moose Pass.
If you are looking for a unique and rustic cabin to relax and recharge in a beautiful mountain setting, you've found it! Private, yet convenient to all the Kenai Peninsula has to offer. Come and experience the charm of a 'real' pioneer log cabin. This cabin is immediately adjacent to the Moose Pass swimming hole and often in the summer you will hear the joyful noises of kids jumping off the diving platform.
This beautiful log cabin tucked away in a wooded setting will charm you the moment you pull in the driveway. The property is calm and quiet, however, please note that the cabin is fairly close to the Seward Highway and during high traffic times (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), you will hear traffic-related noise from the highway. We assure you that in the mornings and evenings, the noise quiets down.
We constructed a brand new cabin in the winter of 2019 called the Lower Paradise Log Cabin. It is available to rent as well and would be the perfect compliment to a large group traveling together. The two cabins now share a driveway but have their own parking and are completely separate.
This cabin is private, clean, cozy and perfect for a couple or small family looking to experience the many activities of the Kenai Peninsula. The cabin was built in 1982 and as such, there are quirks that come with its age.
This log cabin has everything you need, beautifully built, cozy stove that provides perfect warmth. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, nicely decorated and really well-kept. And the bed is top quality. Out the front door, there's a deck with a lounge chair.
There is a queen bed in the loft and a double, pull-out bed in the brand new couch. The living room is open to the kitchen and has a dining set for four + people. The cabin has quality furnishings throughout with hand chosen furniture, bedding, appliances and décor. We perform a quality check on the cabin prior to your arrival, which will ensure you of a wonderful experience.
The only way to get around in Moose Pass is to have your own car. There is no public transportation or taxi cabs. There are transportation services to and from the larger communities of Cooper Landing and Seward.
This is our second stay here. It is a perfect spot between Anchorage and Homer. Close enough to Seward and Cooper Landing to take advantage of fishing and hiking. Love it!!
Very cute little log cabin. The mountain view is awesome. I even saw 3 mountain goats via the binocular.
Very nice place in the mountains! Willow was very responsive! Love this place!
It was a delightful stay. Enjoyed “the cabin” feeling. Would definitely use again.
Cozy place. Good Kitchen. Fantastic view of a giant mountain. Small town with a good restaurant close by. 35 minute drive to seward.
Very peaceful place
Would stay here again, the only bad thing was the traffic right beside you.
A real log cabin that has some nice touches. Very nice front deck and bbq with nice view of mountains. Kitchen well stocked with useful utensils. As noted, there is no wifi or TV, other than small PC monitor-type screen and old DVD player. It is very close to the main road and there is road noise until late and it does begin early. Some nice hikes nearby.
Nice and quiet place with easy road access. I'd def stay here again and the communication was great.
It is a charming and cozy cabin, but it is very close to the highway, so you will hear the cars coming down the road. The stairway upstairs is narrow and might only be for some, but there is a sofa sleeper downstairs if you can't do the steps.
We stayed here for a couple nights. It was clean, the owner, Willow, was responsive. There was lots of attention to detail in the cabin. Loved the picnic table on the front porch and the grill. It was quiet and in a beautiful location. Could be a bit tricky to find the driveway but Willow did her best to make sure we found it okay. If we ever come back to the area we would absolutely stay here again.
The cabin is magnificent! Clean, everything was provided that you might need, great location and so peaceful. We enjoyed our stay immensely! We will be back!
It was cozy and clean beautiful place to find refuge after hiking, fishing and Kayaking. It is 35 miles outside of Seward but when it was a raining day in Seward I could go to Anchorage or Cooper Landing. The drives are beautiful and driving into Seward I would see wildlife once a double rainbow. There were also hiking trails close to the cabin. Would recommend the Harding Ice Field hike as well as Lost Lake hiking trail. I felt quite safe for the week I was alone. My husband joined for the rest of my stay, we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful cabin. Got to watch bears on the mountain across the street with binoculars. Some traffic noise as it is on the highway.
Such a beautiful log cabin! Perfectly appointed and located just a short drive from several cool Alaska destinations. We were able to hike directly from the parking area. Communication with Willow was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.
Very cool, cozy cabin.
This is truly a jewel! Willow cares about her visitors. She has laundry soap & dryer sheets for your use. I used the pull out sofa bed & it was more comfy than the 2 beds I slept on in Anchorage & Denali! My friend loved the bed in the loft. We appreciated the free WiFi. This is a special place.
We loved the cabin. It was well-equipped and a lovely building. We had a great stay. The owner did not return an email for 72 hours, so that was a hassle. Also, we could not find the entrance to the unmarked road and we had to try two roads before finding the right one. This was on a busy road involving multiple U-turns, and so this part felt inconvenient and somewhat dangerous.
Great little cabin! Excellent location for Cooper’s Landing area & Seward! My only complaint is I wished the windows had screens so we could sleep with them open and not battle those Alaska mosquitos! ? Would stay again! Great place!
