I wish I could live here for the whole summer. It was very clean. Huge bed. Hot tub was great. There is a small gas grill on one of the decks. I used it almost every day. There is another deck up the spiral staircase where there are more beds. The heat worked great although I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. But that is fine with me. You park your car in a car port so you can get in and out of the house without getting rained on (it rained a lot, but mostly just sprinkles). The tiny town of Moose Pass is a 2 minute drive. There is a cool restaurant and bar at the Lodge there. Great buffalo wings and cold beer. Friendly folks. There is a cash only convenience store across the street from there. And a fudge store down the street. They also do flightseeing tours on float planes on the lake next to the Lodge. Also kayaking. You can hear the planes when they fly... sometimes right over the house. And you can hear the train in the distance when it passes by. I liked both of these little experiences. Moose Pass is an excellent central spot to rent a house. It is near Seward. Near the Sterling Highway which takes you to Cooper Landing, the whole Kenai peninsula area along the river, Soldotna, the town of Kenai and eventually Homer. It is also near Whittier but I wasn't a huge fan of that town. I know there are some great boat tours out of Whittier so don't let my opinion keep you away. On my way back from Whittier I decided to visit the town of Hope. Love it.
Perfect location, amazing layout, loved the kitchen. Gary was attentive and had great recommendations for the area. After we hiked and came back for the hot tub-amazing!!
Comfortable and clean, with amazing views and perfect amenities! Gary was responsive and helpful! We were delighted with this stay! Thank you!!
Yes, property is a clean, comfortable cabin within a short driving distance of Seward. The kitchen was a pleasure to have, along with the hot tub every evening after hiking or kayaking. The owner is always available and friendly. I would highly recommend it for up to four people.
Great location, 30 minutes to seward, and a couple hours to Homer. The hottub was amazing and the views are awesome.
This place is amazing! Perfect location and it is the perfect setup for up to 5 people. We loved the hot top at night. Place was stocked with everything you needed. Gary is an amazing host and made sure we had the best experience. We will be coming back!
The views were spectacular! the hot tub clean and hot! The house was well stocked for bathroom, laundry, and kitchen. The host gave some great recommends for eating out and activities. Beds and living room comfortable.
Good location, clean, as advertised.
We used the chalet as a home base to explore around Moose Pass and for adventures around the Kenai Peninsula. It was very clean and cozy, and had all the amenities we needed for a great stay! The hot tub was great-- especially after days of hiking and kayaking.
Beyond our expectations! Everything you need and more is at the chalet. Gary is an amazing host. Highly recommend this beautiful place!
We tremendously enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and well stocked with all the conveniences. The hot tub was a wonderful amenity, especially after a day of snowmachining. There are snowmachine and hiking trails that lead out directly from the chalet. The property manager was extremely helpful. We have three young boys and the twin bed loft setup was perfect.
Nice quite cabin. Perfect for a brief stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Eagle Aire! It was easy to find and the location was great! We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day hiking and watching an owl in a tree near the house. The host provided great information about the area and was even there to greet us when we were checking out. We would definitely stay here again.
A welcome home away from home! Everything was as pictured and the host was very helpful!
My wife and I stayed here and it was such a cute cabin with everything you need. They even made us this amazing breakfast and left in our fridge, such a nice touch.
Location was perfect for our trip. Halfway between Salmon fishing on the Kenai River and visiting Kenai Fjords NP in Seward. Cabin was very clean and set up perfectly for our family of 4. Highly recommend and hope to have the opportunity to stay there again in the future!
Great house, great host, beautiful setting with easy access to Seward. Our trip got off to a rough start due to a canceled flight, but Gary was great with his communication and flexibility. House is well equipped and in a very quiet, relaxing location.
Exactly as advertised. Nice hot tub, beautiful views of trees and mountains. Met all of our needs. Quiet, great weekend getaway.
It was beautiful, clean, comfortable and private feeling. We spent a lot of the time hanging on the front porch in the hot tub with the beautiful view!
