Enchanted Treehouse On Lake Michigan - Near Grand Haven and Holland

Very great experience with family staying at the Treehouse. Please not that the steps up to the house and down to the beach are nothing to ignore, you'll get a workout. Also, the private drive to get to this house is single file (no turnaround or passing) and has many tight corners with a cliff dropoff. I wouldn't want to drive down that with any kind of snow or ice.

The time spent there with my sisters was magical, made even more magical by the crazy winds and rain the kept us hibernating inside with the fireplace and being rocked to sleep by the train motion of the house with the high winds. Despite the inclement weather, we did get dressed just long enough to venture outside each day for a walk on the beach. The saves and white caps were magnificent. The atmosphere of the tree house was very hygge and was just what the three of us needed as we reflected on the circle of life and read the box of 70 year old love letters that our parents wrote to each other. It was a magical 3 days that we will cherish forever. Just what we needed. On a practical level, this house is very well stocked with supplies, kitchen supplies, games, movies, etc. We didn't leave the house for anything except beach walks so i have no recommendations for sights or restaurants. The house may be a little hard to navigate with younger children with the stairs up to the house and down to the beach. 30 steps up and 161 down...I think. Very good exercise. We had a relaxing stay here. Scenery was excellent. Loved hearing the waves inside the house. Everything was labeled well. Will go back.

Beautiful spot, weather was fabulous, so outside most of the time on the deck, great view, and quiet. Beach was great walking, and fun to swim in Lk MI this late in the season.

The house was very cool and unique. Truly perfect beach, and amazing sunsets from the deck. The views from the house and rooms were amazing too.There are a lot of stairs to the beach, but it's really worth the work.The hosts really thought of everything in the house, with everything provided, well labeled and thought out.We will definitely try to visit again in the future!

Wonderful weekend away in one of the most beautiful properties we’ve ever seen! Our kids played on the beach and in the house all weekend! Highly recommend!

The Treehouse is our favorite annual trip! Randy has such a unique property that provides privacy like no other spot we have ever enjoyed. The house is well appointed with everything you’ll ever need for a weekend or week away. We love that our dog Walter can join too. The sunsets from the deck are unmatched. We try to stay at least once every year, if not twice.

The Enchanted Treehouse is a magical place. Even better in person than in pics. Its structure is so unique and it is so cozy and welcoming. The views from every window are just stunning. We never tired of hearing the waves from the open windows. This home is so well stocked from kitchen accessories to plates, cups, pots and pans, bath and beach towels, laundry detergent, board games, etc. Best stocked VRBO we have been to.There were 2 beautiful Adirondack style chairs on the beach and an assortment of other folding beach chairs in a storage container just up from the beach. And what a beach!! Very private and spacious. Sand is gorgeous. You can walk a long ways out in the water and make it to sand bars without going over your head. We were fortunate that the water was pretty warm throughout our visit. We went swimming daily. We also went down for the sunset every day. So very beautiful. One of the things we liked best about this rental was that they allow dogs. We have a 13 1/2 year old rescue dog and it was so wonderful to share our vacation with her this year. She loved the water and the beach and the woods surrounding the house. We loved sitting out in the 2 blue chairs on the deck overlooking Lake Michigan drinking coffee in the morning and sipping cocktails at night. The only downside was no AC. There are numerous fans throughout house but a couple nights it was still really hot and humid. Even so, we would definitely recommend this rental for others!

The house is great! The owner Randy let us check in early, with very little notice from us. He responds really fast!! The view is constantly beautiful, the beach is stunning. We absolutely loved it! Has everything you could possible need for a great stay!

Relaxing and peaceful stsy at the beautiful and unique Enchanted Treehouse. We enjoyed the view, nature setting, beach, ridgeline hiking trail, fireplace and cozy setting.

The property was amazing. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The host responded quickly when we had a question and was extremely helpful. Great property at a great price point!

The view and sounds of Lake Michigan were outstanding. Celebrating and playing games with a million dollar view was great. Furniture was old and not comfortable, but tolerable. TV's and tech was better than described. Beds were good, but two of the rooms have no heat ducts and kids were cold. The reason I will never return was the lack of care for the driveway and stairs. I sustained car damage when I slid down the driveway backwards after not being able to reach the top of the driveway. We contacted owner who blamed plow service. We stayed three nights and no one ever came to support. We had to shovel and salt the entire driveway. Not only did we have snow and ice on the stairs, but also leaves! Obviously, nothing had been done in quite a while and no concern to our safety. We could not access beach due to the stairs as well.

Nice location to get away and relax while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Great house to stay in for a family getaway

Beautiful house with a stunning view! This house had everything we needed and the check in and check out process was very clear and smooth. The weather was perfect and had 2 amazing sunsets down at the beach—basically had the beach to ourselves.

This place has a fantastic view and private access to the lakefront, which our group took full advantage of. It was clean and had all the amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms, which we needed to cook and be comfortable staying for several days.

I cannot praise this treehousebhaven enough. Clean, spacious, private, well-equipped, private, right on the beach….did I say private?! Sleeping to the sound of waves, an astoundingly beautiful view, comfortable touches like nice smelling soap, ample cleaning supplies, soft toilet paper….nothing on the cheap. Thank you! Thank you!

We were very happy with our stay at the enchanted treehouse ! You might warn potential guests about the Stone steps to the lake, though. We had no problem with them, but some less active folks might find them a bit intimidating. Overall, a lovely place to stay !

The tree house is one of a kind. We try to make it an annual tradition to spend a long weekend there. You rarely see other people while visiting and the views of Lake Michigan are stunning. The house comes with everything needed for your stay. You’ll rarely find yourself without an item you forgot. It’s dog friendly too which is a major plus. Our doodle loves to swim and lay on the deck watching the squirrels. There are many steps to the beach - one point of caution for older people or children. It’s a commitment to go down to the beach but definitely worth it!

This is our 3rd year coming to the West Olive Treehouse. We are never disappointed wirh the cleanliness or the conveniences that are provided by this host. The Lake views are phenomenal and the private beach offers much relaxation.

We had a wonderful time in the Treehouse!! It was my husband, daughter, her husband and their 2 year old daughter. The weather for August was very chilly; required sweats and a blanket to sit on the deck! The house was just as described. There are ALOT of steps, but it was manageable. Your house had the best stocked kitchen of any rental I have ever stayed in. It was not lacking for anything!!! The only issue we had was no window treatments on the bedrooms. No worries for the adults, but for naptime it was too bright. We wetted the windows and put aluminum foil up - it worked just fine!!! We took a day trip to Holland and then to Grand Haven - easy drive and not too far. The sunsets were beautiful and could be easily seen from the deck. My granddaughter loved them and wished the sun sweet dreams each night. Thank you for sharing your house with us!!!

Love the house and beach. Kids did not mind the stairs to the beach and adults did limited up and down trips - good cardio. But the view and property are worth it!
