We came here for a girls weekend and had an absolute blast! The house is extremely clean, comfortable and has everything you need! The beach was so pretty and the views were amazing!
The Enchanted Treehouse was exactly as promised and provided an amazing experience for our large family to create memories. The views of Lake Michigan were beautiful from every single room! The purpose of our trip was to enjoy Tulip Time as a family and this unique home made the experience even more memorable. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The pictures really don't do the Enchanted Treehouse justice. My husband and I spent five days here and had a wonderful time. The cottage, itself, is beautiful with it's post & beam construction and hardwood everywhere. The furnishings were very nice and well thought-out. It was also very clean, which is important to me. My husband and I have stayed a vacation rentals all over the country and the we voted The Enchanted Treehouse, Best Equipped For Whatever A Guest Might Need. From spices to beach toys to baby-gates & band-aids, it was there. It was obvious that our host had put a lot of thought into the needs of guests. Above all, are the exquisite views and the secluded location. While you are twenty minutes away from any kind of shopping or restaurant you might desire, you feel like you are way out in nature all by yourself. The beach itself is beautiful, white sand and we were the only ones on it most of the time. BONUS POINTS: You will get your cardio work-out going up and down the steps to the beach. They are serious! We will definitely be back!
We spent a long weekend in May 2018 at the Enchanted Treehouse for my daughter's graduation from Hope College. It was about 20 mins. from Holland and could sleep all our family who were attending. The view was incredible from every room of the house and the sunsets were breathtaking. The owners truly thought of everything to make their guests' stay comfortable - they even had games, beach toys and a pack-n-play for little ones. The home was very clean and cozy. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of extra blankets for the chilly nights. The only caution I would give is that the road leading to the home is very narrow, single lane with a steep drop off in places, and there are lots of stairs to navigate. It was a bit hard for my older family members to get up and down with their bad knees. There was also not much parking space. That said, I would highly recommend this home to others looking for a perfect summer getaway in the trees overlooking Lake Michigan.
We had a wonderful time here and highly recommend this house to others. There were a few things I wish we had known earlier (I wish I had thought to ask about these things -- my own fault, not the property lister's) so I'll pass them on to others in case these things matter to others as well: (1) The cellphone reception for AT&T was very spotty here (we were, however, able to find one sweet spot inside the house and another (better one) outside, near the house, but it was largely a dead zone for our carrier; (2) there were quite a few stairs to get up to the house and a LOT to get down to the beach. The stairs to get up to the house were not too terrible (maybe 20 or so steps) but we just weren't expecting it (I'm not sure why... it's called Tree house after all!) and the steps down to the beach were not unusual for a West Michigan beach house but perhaps felt a bit more intense because it was a straight shot (no landings) and the main length of the stairs had only a rope line instead of a solid hand rail. Those were the only two things we thought others might want to know. Other than that, the TVs and wifi connection/speed were awesome, terrific home appliances, nice furnishings, lots of board games, books, etc. All the directions and instructions were simple and clear (assuming we did everything correctly to check out!). The views from inside the house were stunning... from pretty much every room (note: all the bedrooms are upstairs, on the second level and there are a few loft beds that involve a short ladder -- we didn't go up there but they also had their own windows). The beach was a nice sandy stretch. NOTE: It seemed much quieter here, with fewer people and fewer bits of trash on beach than in South Haven. It might be the season (early May) but things seem calmer here in general... I hope others will enjoy staying here as much as we did. Thank you!
Everything was as described and was what we needed for a quick getaway! Great location and close to everything, Meijer and other retail stores. The house was cleaned and had all the essentials we needed. We LOVE the amazing view in every part of this Treehouse, we spent a lot of time staying in and walked along the beach (the steps down to the beach was a bit of a hike for elderly just FYI). We will definitely be back again!
Great location; would love to visit again during summer time ! Check-in and check-out instructions were clear and the kitchen was equipped with all necessary things.
We were looking to get away for a few days with something a bit different and we definitely found it. This place was amazing. It's a cross between a luxurious cabin and a huge treehouse. The architectural layout is impressive. It had everything we needed and plenty of room for people to sleep. The pictures don't quite do it justice. And driving up to the house you realize just how high off the ground you will be. The stairs down to the beach are no joke and definitely make you think ahead for things to bring down. The only thing we hoped for as we were enjoying our time in the family room was slightly more comfortable furniture, but we would come back in a heartbeat!
Wonderful experience! Everything was ready for us, blankets, WiFi, etc! It’s hard to believe but the pictures do not do this property justice, such a beautiful location!
We spent the long Thanksgiving weekend at the treehouse and found it to be truly enchanting. Its amazing how private the house feels as it sits above the others. It had everything we needed to cook dinner for our family of 4 plus 4 guests. We stayed cozy inside with a fire going all weekend in the wood stove. The kids made a fire at the beach in the cast iron kettle. Plenty of seasoned firewood was on hand. Returning from long walks on the sandy beach, we appreciated the new addition of the rope handrail along the stairs back to the house. Great beds, TVs, internet...can't wait to return.
