Stayed Feb 4, 2026Excellent house for a week in Salida. Plenty of space for large families. Walkable to downtown, a quick drive to Monarch, or a quick run to the trails. Will definitely consider staying here again next time we’re in Salida.

Stayed Jan 16, 2026We love this house! We have stayed here several times and it feels like home. There is lots of room for games and puzzles. We can eat in or walk to a variety of restaurants that are just blocks away. It is across the street from a park for the grandchildren too. Close to Monarch ski area. We will be back!

Stayed Aug 29, 2025This is a great house in a perfect location! We stayed here with a big group of friends and in general there was plenty of space for us all. Proximity to the coffee shops and restaurants downtown was great, plus the farmer's market right across the street on Saturday. Would definitely recommend for any big group!

Stayed Aug 2, 2025Everything was great except we were told we stained their counters in the kitchen. We have granite at home and we did not do anything different than we do at home.

Stayed Jul 18, 2025Great location in Salida, lots of fun, house is super nice and very comfortable, wonderful kitchen for making basic meals together. Backyard was amazing for eating together - 10 people. Lots of amenities- thank you. Would like more toilet paper, paper towels and garbage as we had to buy more

Stayed Jul 3, 2025The house is super cute and is a very short walk to downtown Salida. It’s also directly across the street from a park that has a playground and basketball court. We would come back again!

Stayed May 15, 2025Easy reservations and check in. Lots of room for multi family gatherings. Kitchen has everything. Backyard is wonderful and loaded for fun. Super locale and short walk downtown and river. Everyone had their own bedroom. One caution Salida has a 10 per room per night lodging tax/fee so does add to daily cost 5 10 50

Stayed May 1, 2025The place was nice. Plenty of space and a great set up for a large group. Only gripe would be the set up of the bathrooms. Six beds upstairs shared one bathroom with a precarious claw tub that made for dicey, ingress, and egress of the shower. Also the only downstairs bathroom access is through the only bedroom on the main floor, which makes floor interesting ingress egress. We anlso had ana bit of a situation with the management company due to construction in the area. There was a lot of time spent back-and-forth on the phone and via messaging with the management company, which took away from the quality of our overall vacation. At one point, they promised a discount because the water needed to be turned off and then it seems they took that discount away. I’m not sure they appreciate the general annoyance of the amount of time that it took away from our vacation to concentrate on the interactions. Other than that, the place was fantastic!

Stayed Jan 6, 2025This house is adorable and had everything we needed. What was very special was the location. We were a family of 10 - all adult or college age children who came to ski Monarch for the second year in a row. The kids loved staying in Salida because this house was and easy drive to the mountain and walking distance to downtown Salida.fir those who don’t ski as seriously! We definitely want to return to this property!

Stayed Dec 29, 2024Our 2 families stayed here during our annual ski trip to Monarch. The house was clean and well-stocked. Like the other reviews said, it is old and the upstairs was cold, but not unmanageable. Beds were comfortable and space heaters in the closet of the king room were a game changer upstairs, and the cleanliness and comfortability of the house more than made up for it. Everything worked/functioned well, and lots of posted directions/instructions were extremely helpful. Great location—about 30 minutes to the mountain and just a few walkable blocks to downtown Salida. Basketball court across the street was a big hit with my son. We would look for this house again on future trips.

Stayed Dec 21, 2024Our family came from Colorado, Wisconsin, Illinois, and North Carolina to spend several days together before Christmas. The house was decorated for the holiday, and it was so beautiful! We loved being within walking distance of downtown and a church for Christmas services, and it was only a 30-minute drive from Monarch.

Stayed Nov 26, 2024This home was everything we expected and more. Extremely clean and well appointed. It is an older Victorian house so a little drafty in some rooms, especially upstairs. But there was a portable heater available which solved the issue! It was a very cold few days weather wise as well. Able to walk to town and grocery store which was very convenient. Town is lovely with fabulous views. Overall, a good time all around.

Stayed Oct 10, 2024We had a great long weekend together - 4 women. We each had our own bedroom with comfortable beds and clean linens. Our plans were mainly focused on hiking. We were thrilled when the park across the street had a Farmer's Market, the downtown area had an Art Fair, an all around great time. Although we had a couple meals out, the kitchen had everything we needed for breakfasts and a dinner at home. We highly recommend.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024We had a wonderful family weekend to celebrate my son’s birthday! The home was great in so many ways. One day was rainy so we played games and went bowling. Lots of room to hang out and relax. Close to downtown for fun shopping and dining. We plan to return this winter for a ski weekend.

Stayed Jun 13, 2024We had a wonderful stay in this parkside house! We were seven adults and one 3-year-old and everything we could possibly need was provided. The location to town was ideal, the playground across the street provided plenty of fun for our granddaughter. Truly, we could not imagine a more perfect, comfortable, welcoming house than this one.
