Dog Friendly- Scott's Downtown

Home was great. Everything needed was there. Location was exactly where we wanted to be. Even though we were in a busy area by downtown, It was always quiet at night. It is only a 1 bedroom with sleeping for 6. Trundle bed is in front entry area and mattresses were OK but the pull-out in the living room was very uncomfortable with a a 4 mattress. Parking in back was too tight to get my pickup in, but didn't have any issues parking in front.

Perfect spot for a young fam of 4 and our dog. Perfect for walking downtown, you’re already there. The sofa bed mattress was awful but the trundle bed offered another option for our smaller kid and that worked well. The only other nit pick would be to get the lights all on the same kelvin temp/color and the ceiling fan/light controls were wonky. Otherwise, we loved everything else as it worked so well for our family.

Place was great, excellent location.

We will definitely rebook the next time we're in Salida! Easy parking, plenty of room in the house, great yard for the dogs, and best of all it was easily walkable to everywhere in town.

Had a great stay in a perfect rental for a couple with a dog. The fact that we were walking distance to everything downtown as well as trails for hiking and biking was fantastic. The house was clean, quite comfortable and the backyard was well enclosed for our dog. Would recommend to any couple looking for a weekend in the mountains!

We had a great stay here. The location is perfect. You are able to walk anywhere that is downtown.

Everything was good and not less than expected, with one major exception. I'm told that the property on the south side was recently raised and now it is a gravel parking lot. Of course, we were there on the busiest weekend of the year (FIBArk), and although I can sleep through a bomb, my wife was non too pleased as there was a lot of partying going on there with a mix of campers and bar-hoppers. One last thing I may not have mentioned: the bedroom is on the south side of the house, about two feet away from the property line and another foot to a car bumper. Nonetheless, we got through it. The only other possible negative is that the layout of the house is funky, for sure. The house is obviously very old but they've done some recent updating and the kitchen is workable. It is a superb location if you want to be in town, as everything is within walking distance, and the back yard and inside are as dog-friendly as our house. The one off street parking spot was nice as well. Thhhhhat's all, folks.

Great location Far Enough away from the action that you don't get kept up all night close enough where you can walk everywhere.This property was one of the better equipped that I've stayed in. It was my daughter and myself. And while we were not there very much times that we were there it was great.

Scott's place was perfect for our quick weekend stay in Salida. The location can't be beat if you want to stay close to downtown and take advantage of the walkability aspect. We had our two dogs with us and having the fenced backyard was fantastic. The house itself is very spacious with lots of sitting space and the kitchen was large with pretty much any supplies we needed. There is a trundle bed in the front room (not a bedroom, but more of an entrance area), although I do not think we would use that for an additional person or couple, personally. If you had a child or someone very low maintenance, it could be an option, though. For us, it was perfect for the two of us and two dogs and we will definitely plan to stay here again in the future.

Very comfortable and well appointed home, so very convenient (as in easy walking distance) from just about ALL Salida has to offer. Quiet. Parking space off-road behind home capable of handling two vehicles. I thought it a wonderful value for a small group.

Our stay could not have been better! Excellent communication with the host and a well-stocked place with all the comforts (love the fireplace). Very convenient to restaurants, shops and the river. Easy place to stay with dogs with fenced back-yard. Kitchen is well-stocked, furnishings are comfortable, and having a clothes washer and dryer was very helpful. We will be back!

My wife and I, and our 2 dogs, wanted a quick getaway in the mountains to start off Thanksgiving week. We ABSOLUTELY loved our stay at Scotts. The location was perfect for us and the house was so comfy. We will definitely look into staying there again in the future!

This adorable house was perfect for our stay in Salida. The location couldn’t be more perfect. The only complaint I would have is that it was hot and the windows were difficult to open. Other than that it was great!

Short distance walk to park & restaurants located downtown. Cute house, clean, with all necessities available. Definitely would stay again.
