Dog Friendly! Dunwell Cottage: Cute Downtown Home, Close to Everything!!

Lovely home, great kitchen and bedrooms, and awesome walking location to town. We want to come back!

The cottage was perfect for our family weekend get-away. It was so nice to be able to bring the dogs, too. The cottage was spacious and well equipped. We had a wonderful time!

We loved everything about our stay at Dunwell Cottage! It is incredibly charming and nothing beats the location. The park is only one block away, so it was easy for us to walk over multiple times a day with our baby and dogs. The neighborhood was also very quiet at night which we appreciated (no loud parties or groups passing by that might have woken our baby).I was impressed with how clean the cottage was (only because any pet friendly home can have its issues!), it was spotless and the carpet was super clean. The kitchen was fully stocked for us to cook, and the fenced in area in the backyard was perfect for our dogs to play outside off leash. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable place stay in Salida. We will absolutely stay here again next time we’re visiting!

The location to downtown and the river walk was amazing - just a few blocks to shops and restaurants. Neighborhood was very quiet. Nice size bedrooms.

One of the best VRBO's we have ever used. Spotlessly clean, well-stocked, easy parking, fantastic location near local amphitheater, downtown shops, river, amd playground. Very roomy, also.

Loved this house, the location was a highlight and I also loved how big the living area, dining room and kitchen was. Grill on the porch was an added bonus

Adorable little house, but surprisingly roomy inside. (It widens out towards the back.) Two large bedrooms with comfortable beds and two bathrooms make it perfect for two couples. Very short walk to many good restaurants and bars and shops and galleries. And yet it was quiet and restful. Highly recommend!

Clean, great communication, easy access, and wonderful location. No frills but great value.

We only got to stay in the home for a bit because the water was not working, but the property manager was able to quickly move us to another home in the area. When we go back, we would choose this home over the one we were moved to. The other one was fine, but this one has more charm and had more space between the living areas and bedrooms so it would have been quieter for sleepers.

House was clean, cozy and well equipped. We enjoyed the location. Close to the river, mountainbike trails and food.

The house is a good size and a friendly layout. Beds are queen sized and they’re on south side of house so it gets wonderful sunlight in the mornings. Kitchen has everything you would need for a short stay if you choose the cook. Location is a very short walk to the River and Downtown - perfect for walking dogs, people watching and shops and restaurants. Accuracy note: the location of the house is misrepresented in the Pinon online app but the address is correct and easily found using Google or Apple.

Already sent in a review about the red ant hill in the middle of the back parking space. Needs to be exterminated

Loved staying so close to all of the downtown activity without being in the noise of it. House is lovely, quiet and perfect for two friends - each having our own bedroom and bath.

Really enjoyed our five day stay in Salida. We’ve tried a couple of different rental homes in town over the past few years and Dunwell Cottage is the best. Great location, close to the river and downtown activities, and easy walking distance to the Little Red Hen bakery and the Farmers Market. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and the backyard is perfect for reading and socializing. Wish the TV had cable.

This property has the best location. Short walk to the river park, grocery stores and down town. Property has everything you need, including small back yard for the dogs.

Inside was very nice and cozy, wverything we needed. The outside could use some TLC and curb appeal, not very inviting. Location completely makes up for it. Seeing the outside in person gave me some hesitation that the whole place was run down but once we were inside we could see that a lot of attention and upgrading had been done inside. Dogs are allowed but the fenced in area is very small and the fence is only about 30 high, something to keep in mind. Overall we enjoyed our experience, just wish there was maybe some front yard seating or an inviting patio i stead of dead plants.
