Dock & Hot Tub: Susquehanna River Retreat!

This house was perfect for a ladies weekend to celebrate a friend’s 60th! It fit 9 women very comfortably with lots of space to hang out. It was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. The host was very accommodating with check in/out times adjustments. Just a note, there was little to no cell service. But the wifi was excellent, so no real problems with communicating with the outside world!We all commented that we would definitely rent again!

House is absolutely perfect! Kitchen well equipped, lots of games, hot tub was awesome and you barely hear the train. My family loved watching the train the few times it went by. Awesome host and propriety. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent experience, we loved the property, it was clean, and exactly what we signed up for. When there was a water valve tha wouldn’t shut off, the owner responded and resolved the issue quickly.

The property was beautiful and so large. Plenty of space for our party of 8 to spread out and enjoy time alone or with each other. Two refrigerators allowed us to stock up and cook in the house. We enjoyed nights at the fire pit and morning coffee on the front porch. Loved this house!

We had a great stay for a quick wedding trip. The home slept 8 adults easily.

Nice home. Was a little confusing getting to the home but we managed. Insulated well to avoid hearing the trains running. Can hear them as muffled sounds. Was surprised by the private dock. It was very picturesque. Overall we enjoyed the stay very much.

We have been doing a girls trip for 6 years and finding a place big enough for 10 women can be a challenge. This place checked all the boxes so we booked it and although there were some things that were not perfect the place was the right size and the response from John regarding our concerns was very helpful. Good business is done when concerns are expressed and heard and at the end of the day that’s what we remember most and I do appreciate his timely responses. We aren’t sure what happened but concerns regarding things being cleaned and some issues with a few things not working were not responded to during our weekend stay but after emailing with John after arriving back home he was prompt in responding and I believe he will address the issues with his cleaning crew and he even refunded us the cleaning fee. With all this being said we had a fabulous weekend, and we enjoyed the place and the space it provided for us.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful property! We were impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail from the moment we arrived. The house was spacious, well-decorated, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Our host was incredibly responsive and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. We had a great time celebrating my wife's 60th birthday. Perfect setting to relax.

We found the train and the cats added to the fun experience. Its an old tavern with lots of fun areas to hang out.

We had such an awesome time staying at the house and the river is beautiful. We love to play pool and cooked all weekend long excellent rental.!

We relaxed, we fished, we swam in the river. It was all fantastic!

Space is great. Dock needed to be cleaned. Junk on ground in that area. The feral cats are a nuisance. All that being said, the furnishings are fine- kitchen is well stocked- and you can’t beat the outside space. The surrounding area is run down.

We booked this spot for a family weekend to Sight and Sound as well as the shopping in Lancaster area. The house was unique and very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable and had all the amenities as described. This house was by far the best in the neighborhood and the locals made it clear they don’t like “Strangers” coming in. Probably had 10 stray cats and two dogs from the neighbors visit constantly. Found it very annoying. It was a 30 drive from most everything we wanted to see but overall the house was great. The train tracks were between the house and the river so if we had young children we would have been a bit nervous. Local contact allowed us in a bit early and had no other contact with him and all was well.
