Stayed Aug 20, 2024The guest house is a beautiful 18th century house that has been renovated with all of the best modern conveniences. It was immaculate, very comfortable, and the host provided many little things that enhanced our stay. We especially enjoyed the deck overlooking nearby Pequea Creek, and the walking path along the creek. Dinner one evening on the “Pad-io” of the nearby Frogtown Cafe was very good. Obviously a well-loved local cafe/pub.

Stayed Mar 24, 2026We really enjoyed our stay in this 1700s stone house. Williamsburg, Va and the Duke of Gloucester Street has always been one of our favorite locations for it's history and ambivalence. Standing in this house and imagining the history these windows have witnessed is truly staggering. Cannons produced for George Washington's army leaving the forge heading to face the British military is one small segment of it's history. Truly a step back in time. This house is clean, well furnished and full of ambiance. We walked different sections of the Enola Low Grade Trail every day. The views were amazing. Thank you to our hosts!

Stayed Mar 27, 2026This was easily one of the most relaxing and genuinely cozy places we’ve ever stayed. The restoration work that Matt and Alli have done is truly remarkable. The home still carries its 1700s character in all the best ways—those little touches of age and history give it a charm you simply can’t recreate. It feels authentic, lived‑in, and full of stories. And yet, you still get the comforts of today: a great kitchen, a 42‑inch flat screen, and a fireplace we absolutely loved. The upstairs bathroom alone, with that incredible shower, is something we’re already missing; along with everything else! The stream behind the house adds a peaceful rhythm to your stay. Whether you’re having breakfast, relaxing on the deck, or just listening to the water. An added bonus is it has some great fish. The house has everything you could possibly need, and whenever we had a question, Alli was quick, kind, and incredibly helpful. It truly feels like a home away from home, the kind of place you look forward to returning to. Honestly, I hesitated to say that because I don’t want all the dates booked when we’re ready to come back.If you’re looking for a place with real atmosphere—close to stores, parks, museums, restaurants, and still surrounded by beautiful scenery even on the longer drives—this is it. Five stars, two thumbs up, or in the spirit of In Living Color, this home definitely gets “two snaps up.”Our sincere thanks to Alli and Matt for giving us such a relaxing and memorable stay.

Stayed Jul 25, 2025We had a wonderful time and felt really welcome in the very beautiful decorated and stylish cosy little cabin with beautiful fresh flowers in all the rooms, welcoming drinks and food, a big terrace, comfortable beds, all we needed after a few days in the big city! The surroundings were beautiful, for us a lot to explore. We only wished that the traffic on the road beneath was less loud, that would have made our stay in this peaceful place complete!

Stayed Aug 27, 2024Great location for accessing hiking and biking trails. Well supplied kitchen for all our quiet meals at the guest house. Nice historic cottage, yet with very modern and comfortable amenities. (FYI - There are quite a few steps , just a heads up for anyone who may have trouble with that.) We really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed Aug 16, 2024We so loved the space and its history. Allison took such pains to create an ambiance embracing what is most lovely locally [fresh flowers, great coffee] and the timelessness of the space. It was comfortable, well appointed and lovely. Allison was incredibly helpful - left us some lovely little cakes upon arrival as well ! We would highly recommend. Please note, that it may be problematic for people with accessibility issues. There are many steps....
