This is a spectacular 3700 square foot home that is both large and luxurious in a lovely classical manner! Features 4 bedrooms (2 of which are huge), 3.5 bathrooms, living room, sunroom, TV room, enclosed front porch, backyard patio, outdoor grill w/ dining furniture, and private Crystal Lake frontage with a beach area, dock, and mooring buoy for a boat! Includes use of 2 bikes, 2 kayaks, and 2 paddleboards! This property truly provides all that is needed for a wonderful family vacation! <br>

NEIGHBORHOOD:

The house is along the luxurious south shore of Crystal Lake, which boasts many luxurious homes of over $1M in value (including this one). The neighborhood is primarily made up of vacation homes of professional families.

Outside of the immediate neighborhood, the home is just a few miles from downtown Frankfort, which has a charming collection of shops, restaurants, cafes, and a microbrewery (Stormcloud). Frankfort also has a fantastic public beach on Lake Michigan and a popular historic lighthouse. Crystal Lake Paradise is also less than a 30-minute drive from both the start of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (to the north) as well as Crystal Mountain Ski Resort (to the southeast). The home is great for group or family ski trips to Crystal Mountain!

The house is also only about a 1-hour drive east to Traverse City. Traverse City is the business, arts, recreation, entertainment, dining, and shopping hub of all of Northern Michigan and it provides a vast variety of bigger city things to see and do.


THE SPACE:

Please note that 2 bedrooms (Bedrooms #1 and #2) are on the first floor. The other 2 bedrooms (Bedrooms #3 and #4) are on the second floor. There are 2.5 bathrooms on the first floor and 1 bathroom on the second floor.

In addition to the previously mentioned outdoor items, on the private beach there is a beach box with beach toys for kids, including two boogie boards, pails and shovels. Also in the beach box are 4 adult life vests and 2 children's vests as well as 2 foam noodles. On the beach are two stand up paddle boards and two kayaks. There is also a private swim raft that is in approximately 4 ft of water. There are also two bikes in the garage. (Helmets are not provided though.)



PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1) CHECK-IN: The guest who made the reservation must be present at check-in and must present photo ID at the time of check-in.

2) PET POLICY: Under NO circumstance can pets be allowed. The owners have severe allergy issues.

3) FIREPLACES: Neither of the fireplaces are usable. Use of the fireplaces is strictly prohibited!

4) MAIN ROAD: East South Shore Drive runs between the house and the lake so you do need to cross the road to get to the lake from the house.

5) STAIRCASE: The home has a somewhat rickety spiral staircase from the first floor to the second floor. It may be slightly hazardous for elderly persons and young children and guests are advised to use it with caution.

6) AIR CONDITIONING: Air conditioning is available in sleeping quarters via multiple mini-split room air conditioners. Please note that the house does NOT have central air conditioning and that not all of the house is air conditioned.

7) DOCK: The dock is not available for use with motor boats or pontoon boats.

8) NUMBER OF GUESTS: The property is strictly limited to no more than 8 guests and no more than 4 vehicles. Please also note that our pricing is based upon the number of guests, with pricing being higher with each additional guest that is included on the reservation. Please make certain that the correct number of guests is specified on the reservation so that the pricing is correct.

9) BOAT MOORING: Overnight mooring of boats at the property is not permitted. Smaller boats (peddle boats, kayaks, paddle boards, row boats, etc.) can be beached on the shore.

10) NUMBER OF VEHICLES: No more than 4 vehicles are permitted at the property at any time.

11) QUIET HOURS: For the sake of neighbors, we ask guests to observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM.

12) NEARBY APARTMENT: On a separate, but adjacent, lot behind the property, the property owners own a garage that has a second floor apartment above the garage. The second floor apartment may be used by the owners on occasion.

13) EARLY CHECK-IN: Our policy is to allow early check-in on the day of arrival if the property is available for check-in. We will not know until the day before arrival whether or not the property will be available for early check-in or not. You can check with our local property manager the day before arrival or on your arrival day to see if the property will be available for early check-in or not.

14) LATE CHECK-OUT: We maintain a very strict and structured cleaning schedule. As such, late check-outs are strictly prohibited.

    The house was fantastic, sprawling with a lot of areas to spend time with our family members who came in from another state to catch up. Very comfortable and well stocked. Across a not-very-busy-street from the lake, there are very few homes that are actually on the lake. Frankfort is super close and has a nice assortment of restaurants and shops for a little lakefront town its size. The lake was beautiful and we heard that it has a lot of fish in it - we may have to bring our boat next time and get on the water. A good base to check out Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and all the cherry/apple/wineries/farms/lighthouses/etc. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

    Very nice place that was accurately displayed in photos and description. It worked for my family during a recent visit, and very close to the surrounding towns.

    Overall this is a nice property but is showing age. Currently there are items within the house that need attention. The air conditioner unit upstairs did not work. It was cool enough we did not need it. The front door sticks. The trim around door need s to be fixed before it is ruined by door opening/closing. The couches and some chairs need attention. The couches need to be updated with cushion support or replaced. Several of the chairs show wear and rips. The trundle bed upstairs had dead bugs in the sheets. Kitchen garbage can needs to be replaced with one that has a working lid.
