Clean, Newly Remodeled Home Steps to Beach, HOT TUB, LARGE deck w/ocean peek

The property has Ants Infestation. The first night we leave some cupcakes, bread and marshmallows in the kitchen counter and the next morning they were with ants, we had to put them in the garbage. We lost many food for this issue. We found ants everywhere, not just in the kitchen. But the property is great! Very good location, great amenities, and besides the ants, it was very clean. I hope that this issue will be addressed soon. I would like to come back.

We chose this property primarily because of its proximity to the Boardwalk, but upon arrival we found that several other accommodations were actually closer. In fact, the house was located on the opposite end of the Boardwalk, Even though the description said it was a 2-minute walk to the Boardwalk. The house itself was spacious and offered plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, which worked well for our group. However, the overall maintenance and condition of the property were disappointing. The garbage disposal was not functioning, which caused water to back up in the sink. A couple of the burners on the induction cooktop would not stay on; even with the pan making full contact with the surface, the heat would shut off on its own, limiting our ability to cook. The Traeger BBQ smoker could not be used because there were no pellets provided. The TV in the primary bedroom was also unusable, as the Roku would not connect.There were two coffee makers in the home. One still contained used coffee grounds from a previous guest, and the other produced steam but would not brew coffee at all.While the layout and size of the home met our needs, the number of maintenance and housekeeping issues detracted from the overall experience. Given the price we paid, along with the checkout cleaning requirements, we felt the value did not match expectations.

Perfect place for our family to meet up with another family for a quick vacation. Just blocks to the beach and an easy 10ish minute walk to the boardwalk as well. Walking distance to a few restaurants and coffee shops as well. Very comfortable place to stay with lots of goodies to use as well!

The location was perfect — close enough to the beach and Boardwalk to easily enjoy everything Santa Cruz has to offer, but tucked into a quiet, cozy neighborhood that felt relaxing and peaceful at the end of the day.Being able to walk to Betty Burgers and Java Junction was a huge bonus. Both had excellent food and friendly service, and it made mornings and casual meals incredibly easy.The house was comfortable, clean, and in such a great spot for exploring Santa Cruz, Capitola, and the harbor area. We’d absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable beach getaway with a true local neighborhood feel.

We stayed for 4 nights with our two littles and my parents in law. It was the perfect space for us and so close to the beach. It made it easy to walk to the beach and be back for all of those routine things like naps and lunch without feeling like you needed to rush. They had plenty of amenities catered for the kids that made it easier for us. One thing we were excited to see were the little bed gates to make the twin beds safer for the little kids. Your also a short walk to the boardwalk which was great! We didn’t have to worry about parking and loading up the car. We would totally stay here again.

Santa Cruz is a beautiful town and this house worked great for our family.

Fantastic location and loved this house! It’s tastefully designed and perfect for a beach house- came fully stocked with bikes and such. 2 blocks away from East Cliff for beautiful morning walks and 4 blocks away from Verve for your morning walk coffee. The space was clean and cared for, I loved the beach decor and patio deck. Will definitely be staying here again. Only issue we noticed were some ants in the bedroom and bathrooms so we just kept all food in the kitchen and didn’t have any issues

Awesome place!

The only complaint I have about this location is that the shower's water pressure is terrible. Literally everything else was amazing. The location was PERFECT. Excellent walking to a beach just two blocks away and the boardwalk is a ten minute walk for a slow-poke! The sounds of the waves, sea lions, and birds were ever-present. Beautiful! The house itself was comfortable, the hot tub was immaculate, and for someone who cooks often, the kitchen was easy to use with so many great appliances! (Could use a coffee grinder, but I'm being nit-picky!) Thank you so much for this property, we had an absolute BLAST!

We rented this darling beach house for a family vacation in Santa Cruz. It was perfect for our multigenerational family. Our daughter, son in law and their 3 children had two bedrooms and a bath on the main level and the upstairs master suite was perfect for us. We all loved the large upstairs deck with a perk a boo ocean view for a couple of our family meals. The beds were very comfortable and the house very well equipped with plenty of towels, kitchen supplies and lots of toys and games for the kids. There are beach chairs, beach toys, bikes, coolers and more in the garage as well as a washer and dryer which was so handy. The location in Seabright is excellent and an easy 2 block walk to the beach. We were able to walk to the Boardwalk and the Wharf as well. The owner is very responsive and available. We would definitely rent this wonderful home again in the future.

A beautifully appointed house that felt like a home that is loved and well cared for. We couldn't have wished for anything more as it had a garage of beach toys and conveniences, the kitchen was well stocked, and it was beautiful. So convenient with the beach and boardwalk so closeby.

This was such a WONDERFUL 2 floor beautiful beach house experience! Upper deck lounge chairs, private hot tub 2nd floor back deck, gigantic master bedroom upstairs with a fireplace and a big ceiling fan to keep us cool! Bunk Beds and 3rd bed next to it AND a separate bedroom downstairs too! love the chase-couch, the kitchen was PERFECT - i made pancakes, bacon, and eggs our 1st morning (brought my own ingredients and my favorite pan) and they had everything else! Fridge SO clean, fillled ice trays for our water bottles, wide screen TV for end of the night YouTube Movies channel, ceiling fan downstairs too! GREAT neighborhood. The location was close to EVERYTHING !!! 21 min stroll to the boardwalk and about the same back - we did it TWICE every day. 13 min drive to Shadowbook (OMG WOW) restaurant, 15 min drive to the Mystery Spot (don't miss that ! Beautiful hike as long as you want, turn back any time, and the 40 min tour of the spot was unforgettable. They had beach towels for us (used that for an amazing beach day) - luxurious beds, bedding, pillows, extra blankets ... GAMES at the house ! QUIET neighborhood! All the light switches were LABELED !!!! cozy but luxurious at the same time, we are 100% coming back if they will have us - they replied to my texts IMMEDIATELY when i entered the Wi-Fi code in with a capital letter that i shouldn't have, LOL - responded immediately when i had a question about where the fan switch was. they are SOOO great!!! loved it.

Great house very comfortable nice quiet neighborhood. Very easy walk to the boardwalk and Harbor and food restraints close by.

We loved staying at this house. The house was exactly as pictured and beautifully furnished throughout. We loved being able to eat our meals out on the deck overlooking the ocean and to walk to several restaurants and the boardwalk. It was the perfect central spot to explore Santa Cruz as well as the Monterey/Carmel area.

My family gather together annually in March to celebrate birthdays, update our busy lives and reconnect by sharing joyful memories while making new ones. We love to explore various areas of the west coast from Washington State down through the California coast and discovered the Santa Cruz beaches. This VRBO has been a superb location for running or walking along the coast and discovered great coffee houses, restaurants and bakeries in the neighborhood. We were impressed with the comfortable, clean and organized accommodations that included a hot tub, fire places, a grill on the upper deck with the view of the ocean and had the best sleep. It was absolutely a wonderful weekend. Thank you!

5 of us loved staying in this beautiful home with lots of great amenities — just a minute’s walk to beach and to some local fun eateries. Great neighborhood, easy parking, lots of great places to sit, relax & enjoy ocean living inside & out.

The house location is a perfect quick walk to beach, coffee shop, and Boardwalk-during day. The house/room layout was perfect for the girls to take the upstairs that has the spa, deck, own bathroom and frig/sink!

The house was wonderful! It fit our group & our needs perfectly!

We had an incredible time during our visit! The house was in a beautiful and safe neighborhood, close to the beach, and restaurants/ coffee/ the boardwalk. Lots of street parking. The house was very clean, well stocked, and well set up to spend lots of time together with family or friends. The only issue we had was that the keys were not inside the lockbox at check in, but there were alternate ways to get inside the house - all listed in the check in instructions - and the property manager was very responsive. I would gladly stay there again!

MY STAY WITH MY FAMILY WAS AWESOME. LILY IS A GREAT HOST AND WAS ABLE TO HELP ME WITH ALL MY NEEDS. I WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK.

The location of this house was amazing! The area is very quiet and the balcony on top was so comfortable to hang out on and watch the world go by. Can't wait till next year.

There were six adults & we made it work. The view was BEAUTIFUL, the deck was nice, the fridge ice & water didn't work, rain came in ON THE FUTON in the master bedroom, blinds in master wouldn't close on one side so people could see in, you need young healthy people to use the master bedroom (15 steep stairs). No face towels in the house and FEW bath towels; we had to go to the store and buy some. No iron, the ironing board was rusted & took two people and 10 minutes to collapse, blinds downstairs were dirty. Living area was TIGHT, dining table is only for 4 & space SUPER TIGHT, showers in both bathrooms were updated but challenging to operate for some. Lockbox is old & I had to put the combination in 6-8 times before it opened, and the same with closing when I returned the keys.

The home was lovely and just as described. You can hear the waves of the ocean from the porch. The upstairs area has everything you need and allows separation from the other guests. Would recommend.

The house is comfortable and cozy with a well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms with some nice luxury fixtures. Fabulous location just a couple short blocks from the beach and Seabright neighborhood. There is a generous amount of gear and beach supplies for use---beach cruisers, umbrellas, chairs, paddle boards, kids sand toys etc etc. We had no trouble parking three vehicles. While not huge, the place comfortably accommodated our group of 5 ladies enjoying a long girls weekend. Check in and check out were easy. While we had no major issues/need to contact the owner during our stay, we all agreed that some minor attention to detail could have improved our stay, for example, the hot tub makes a funny/distracting chirping noise and some of the closets and shelving were a bit cluttered. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe, but because there isn't any private yard space, you can feel somewhat 'exposed' ie the front porch is pretty close to the sidewalk and some of the downstairs windows open up to the street. Overall a great stay.

The beach house at 220 Mott was great. Great location, nicely appointed house and so close to the beach. Our family loved our stay at this house. Lily, the owner was very responsive to any of our questions. I had to change the dates of our stay and Lily was very gracious in accommodating the change. Again, the location is excellent and I recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived until we left!!!! They have thought of everything!!!!! The house is beautiful!!! It’s comfortable, perfectly located, and lovely!!! We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back!!!
