Old winegrower's house (160 m2) in a quiet village with exceptional location 11 km from Beaune on the Route des Grands Crus.
The house is set in a charming little garden with outdoor seating and dining.
For friends of culture, nature and silence, the old winegrower's house is ideally located.

Completely renovated in terms of building biology, the house combines modern comfort with the charm of the historic, which is reflected in the furnishings. Antiques, modern furniture, paintings and selected objects create a mixture that will make it easier for you to get out of everyday life.
Excursions to art historical centers can be combined here with culinary and oenological delights in the most pleasant way.
Chez Charlie (name of the last winemaker) has three bedrooms, two with double beds (180 x 200), which can be taken apart to single beds. And a large room with three single beds (90 x 200).
The bedroom on the ground floor has its own bathroom with a generous Italian shower, WC and an independent exit to the garden. Another toilet is located in the hallway of the basement. Upstairs, guests share a bathroom with another sprawling shower and a separate toilet.
The heart of the house is the light-flooded kitchen (36 m2) with its double doors to the garden. Around the well-equipped cooking island can be shared time together. In addition, the long, made from the wood of an old oak barrel table, to culinary delights in long conversations invites.
On the upper floor you will find a living room with library, TV and DVD player.
Chez Charlie is located in a garden with a linden tree, roses, lavender bushes and seating to dine outside, or to listen to the many birds in the quiet of the village. A second garden about 25 meters away offers further opportunities for retreat.
For friends of walks, the former winegrower's house is ideally located, because no matter in which direction you leave the garden, expect a little old footpaths or paths with the most enchanting views of the sometimes brusque, sometimes lovely hills or the village, the Office de Tourisme of Beaune hikers recommends asking for a particularly beautiful village.
For shopping you have to go to Meursault or Beaune.
11 km from Beaune, 6 from Meursault and 14 from the A6 motorway, Saint Romain is ideal for a variety of day trips.
Private parking is available in the garden, a second in a nearby barn.

Comfortable house in lovely setting. A few things weren't working properly but Sybille responded quickly.

Fabulous holiday in stunningly beautiful location. Fabulous views to amazing terrain and countryside dude with very good road links to major routes. House was extremely well equipped and very pleasant to stay in. Check that you read the recycling as bottles/glass don't go in wheelie bins and the bins aren't emptied if you get it wrong. Loved it all and will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this lovely property in Haut Saint Romain. The kitchen was fully equipped, bathrooms pristine and well appointed, bedrooms spacious with comfortable beds and two lovely small gardens perfect for BBQs and playing with our kids. Whilst I did not meet the host, our communications were always prompt and clear. I'd therefore highly recommend this lovely house for any families wanting to explore the many pretty villages and exceptional wineries all within 15 minutes drive!

Charming, quiet location in Saint Romain with easy access to other wonderful villages such as Meursault, Pommard and Volnay and of course Beaune! Lovely house and attentive owners.

Our stay at Sybille’s house in St-Romain was outstanding. It is in a wonderful location in the upper village, very private and tranquil. The house is equipped with all the comforts of home, quality appliances, modern furnishings and spotlessly clean. Sybille provided us with detailed information regarding the village and surrounds and was very generous with her time, quickly responding to any questions. We really appreciated the welcome gifts too. Thank you Sybille for creating a gorgeous stay in St-Romain.

A well equipped and beautifully decorated & maintained cottage, with a delightful garden & outdoor dining area for enjoying the long summer evenings. Saint Romain is a pretty town set among vineyards and with stunning views of the countryside. The cottage was ideal for 4 people and had all amenities to make our stay enjoyable.

We stayed at the house for one week in September. Our host, Sybille, did a good job before we came to inform and recommend what to do during our stay. The house itself is in a perfect condition and Saint-Romain is very cosy.

Such a beautifull house and garden. Sybille and Jochen were very welcoming and answered all our questions both before and during the stay. Would recommend this house to everybody. Especially if you are looking for a quiet holiday close to the wine yards and produceres. The small town and the people there are lovely and very helpfull. Also the church only 100 m from the house is wonderfull.
