Charming country house, 180 acres, near MtMansfield, Smugglers Notch and Stowe

A fantastic stay for the weekend with fires each night, enchanted grounds to walk, and games to play!

Ski slopes were super close! The town was quaint and quiet. The home was secluded with lots of land around the pond to explore. My kids enjoyed playing outside and we loved the rustic farmhouse for our vacation. Kitchen was perfect for preparing meals and plenty of areas to gather as a family! Thanks for a great stay Mark!

A nice house on plenty of secluded land for exploring and getting away from city life for a few days. My dog loved running around and exploring in the woods. Fully stocked kitchen with anything you could need. We were able to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal with no issue. Good water pressure as well for anyone that might matter too.

Fireplace was amazing with plenty of wood.

The directions provided brought us right to the property, which is out in the mountains. There was a trail map of the trails on the 180 acre property with the trails being pretty easy trails. No one in our party had been to Vermont before, and our stay was purely for a relaxing time. We utilized the outside fireplace and looked at the stars, there was plenty of firewood available and marshmallow roasting sticks. The kitchen was well stocked with all needed supplies. The location of the property was perfect for day trips and sight seeing. The foliage was turning with the colors being very pretty. There is a large deck in the front of the house, with an apple tree in the yard. A doe and two young deer came into the yard and ate apples. We were very pleased with our stay and would recommend.

Mark was a great host - extremely clear communication and detailed information about everything. The view from the deck is absolutely stellar!

Sweet little cottage that feels like you are staying at Grandma’s cottage. Beautiful property with pond. The fall foliage was lovely in this area. There is hiking and mountain biking right off the property. It’s about 35 mins to Burlington. It’s close to underhill, Jericho, smugglers notch and Stowe. It’s secluded and quiet. Sleeps 10. The mattresses could be updated, but not terrible. This spot probably not good for elderly people, unless they can utilize the downstairs bedroom as stairs are steep. Water pressure great and temp gets hot. Highly recommend this little place. We recommend poorhouse pies nearby for easy meals you can grab and heat up in the oven. Delicious!

Great place, wonderful early fall weekend!

Place was magical!!! Waking up in the morning and having coffee on the deck that overlooks mt Mansfield. Amazing!! Love the area will be back again.

We loved our stay at this beautiful, rustic hideaway tucked into the woods with a spectacular view of Mt Mansfield from the deck on which we would mountain gaze by day and stargaze by night. Lots of hiking on the property and in the area, and lots of wonderful watering holes nearby to escape the summer heat. We also loved visiting the Snowflake Bentley exhibit at the Old Red Mill in nearby Jericho, and ended most days with a stop at Palmer Lane Maple for a maple creemee. Mark was an excellent host, the house had evening we needed and he was very responsive whenever we had questions. Great spot.

Beautiful farmhouse on gorgeous property with plenty of space for a large family. The house has everything you can think of, for guests to utilize while staying in this comfortable, extremely clean, quaint home. Lots of games, puzzles, culinary items! Plenty to do close by. A quick 40 mins to Burlington. Mark was a communicative, helpful, available host who provided us with a tremendous amount of information. We are grateful he opened his amazing home to us. Definitely will be back!

What a great property and house! A great mountain view and a pond next to the house that we were surprised to be able to swim in in Mid-May in northern VT. The house was spacious and comfortable and has some nice character. A great fireplace that was quite enjoyable on the cooler days. The house had everything we needed and many small appliances and when one of them decided to quit, Amy had a new one delivered in a couple hours. The host, Mark, was great with info and communication and seemed ready to respond to any questions or concerns. Really nice not dealing with linens and having a later check-out was really great with my elderly parents. Would absolutely book again if traveling to that area. Thanks

Mark was attentive and easy to communicate with. The house had everything we could have ever needed and directions for everything was well thought out! The cozy home in the woods was perfect for a ski vacation!

As a small group of friends we’ve been going to Smugglers Notch to ski for years. We typically stay on the resort, but took a chance on a VRBO this year. After our stay I can confidently say that we will be back for years to come. From the booking process, to the picturesque views , everything about this place is a 10/10. Can’t recommend it enough.

We visited the property in January with a small group of friends. The property was easy to locate and sufficiently remote - situated at the end of a small dirt road surrounded by acres of woods. Inside, the house was clean with a well-furnished kitchen and a beautiful fireplace - which was put to good use. The views of Mt. Mansfield from the property were incredible. I highly recommend this property!

The house was warm and inviting and the views of Mt. Mansfield with fresh snow were incredible. It was very peaceful and the fireplace provided great ambiance to each evening. Great location to many different activities.

My family stayed here to celebrate an early Thanksgiving. The location was relaxing. The house fit our needs with 1 bedroom on the main floor for my elderly parents. The fire place was used ever night and brought back memories of my parents place in Maine. The dinning room table could accommodate the whole family for meals and to play lots of games. A gem. Thanks for sharing the place.

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay here. The views of Mount Mansfield and the surrounding area were breathtaking. The house has so much rustic charm and character - and nights in front of the fireplace were so cozy! We would gladly return here should our travels take us to the area again.

We have a wonderful stay at Mark's secluded cottage. The communication was excellent leading up to our arrival. Check-in was easy. Everything was clean and well stocked. Great secluded location and a cottage filled with lots of quaint and unique touches, amazing views and a wonderful fireplace. Would definitely stay again!
