Located on the beautiful southeastern Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica and within Gandoca-Manzanillo wildlife Refuge, Casita Luna is the perfect getaway for a good time and absolute tranquility. The house itself is located within Villa Noor property and has a direct and private access to a magnificent unspoiled beach. Also, Casita Luna sits on 5 acres of tropical garden where you can find giant rainforest trees, a small creek, birds, iguanas, howler monkeys & other wildlife species. Welcomehome !

Casita Luna has all the commodities of a modern studio: Wi-Fi, smart TV (Netflix), fully equipped kitchen, hot water, etc. The property has its own private road to get to the sandy almost-deserted beach (just 100 meters - less than 5 min walk). This cozy place is more or less 45 square meters and can accommodate up to 3 people. The open space includes a queen bed + sofa as well as a kitchen area and a dining area. You will definitely enjoy the small terrace with its beautiful tropical garden view.

Manzanillo and Puerto Viejo are a unique Caribbean blend of local Costa Rican people, Jamaican descendants, indigenous people, worldwide expats, tourists, surfers, backpackers, etc. The atmosphere and energy in that area is very laid-back and relaxed.

Manzanillo (600m) is a small fishing village with a few restaurants, grocery shops and small boutiques. Make sure you don’t miss Manzanillo’s famous seafood restaurant: Maxi’s. Puerto Viejo (13 km) is a very chilled-out village where you will find more options for restaurants, bars, nightlife entertainments, etc. Also in Puerto Viejo: ATM’s, drugstores, a doctor, banks, some boutiques, bigger supermarkets.

Activities close to Villa Noor property include: kayaking, swimming, windsurfing, wildlife viewing, snorkelling/diving, biking, fishing, boating and restaurants/bars.

This little cabin is located in a slice of jungle heaven right on the beach in Manzanillo. The host was friendly and in touch, checking on us throughout our stay. The property was clean, had extra towels and fans and was as cute as a button. The caretaker lives on the property as well, and she is super kind and helpful (bonus is Mikey the property dog who is awesome). THIS is the side of Costa Rica to visit, and this is the place to stay due to its location on the beach, down the road from both Puerto Viejo and a gorgeous National Park, but chill and quiet in the evenings. I hope to be back here soon :)

The accommodation is perfect. Set amongst the flora and fauna and a stones throw from the beach. Very tranquil, but so close to everything as well. Easy bus drop off. Close shop, bar etc. Great comms, friendly. Good kitchen. Lovely shower. Hot water throughout. Comfy bed, if not a little squeaky! But if that’s the only negative we’re not doing bad. Book it, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
