Campfire Cottage: Fireplace, fire pit & no chores!

Matt is great! If I needed anything he was so easy to reach! His cottage is adorably decorated - perfect balance of contemporary and rustic. It is very cozy and comfortable. It is also very functional - he thought of everything to ensure you enjoy your stay. The location is convenient to great hiking and stores. The house backs up to woods so the setting is peaceful. So many historic towns nearby. I wished I stayed longer but I will be back!

Truly great property. Decorated with care and a fun aesthetic, and really well stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Matt was a top notch host, clearly wanted us to have a good experience. Suburban setting with easy access to Kingston attractions, nearby towns and shopping.

My spouse and I enjoyed our stay at the Campfire Cottage with our dog. The cottage was well designed and utilized its small space to the fullest. We also appreciated the gas fire pit outside. The location was great- there's an amazing dog friendly Italian restaurant within walking distance, a nice 9-hole golf course about 3 minute drive, and the Rondout Creek area of Kingston is about a 10 minute drive. If we find ourselves back in Kingston, we would definitely want to stay at the campfire cottage again.

Matt’s place has everything you need, nothing over the top but very well appointed. Great taste. We only stayed 1 night but felt right at home.

The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and close to everything we wanted to do. The house was just as described: clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the cozy living room and the fully stocked kitchen, which made cooking meals a breeze. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept soundly every night. The host was also very responsive and provided us with helpful tips about the area. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Fantastic stay in the campfire cottage! Every detail was taken care of, from extra toothpaste (I always forget mine!) to the Nespresso machine. Cottage was very clean and cozy, communication was excellent. Would definitely return!

Matt has a great modern set up for 2 people to stay with simple but effortless accommodations. We loved our week long stay as Matt anticipated everything we could need. Ample towels, all the soap and toiletries one could need as well as a comfortable minimalist aesthetic. It was everything we could have asked for including a fire pit which we didn’t actually use but was a great addition to our stay should we want to. It overall all excellent stay!

Sweet little cabin was just right for our weekend getaway. Location is convenient to many large chains and grocery stores. Short drives take you to scenic Hudson Valley neighborhoods and historic sites. Remarkably quiet for an in town location. Parking in allotted spot can be tight, street parking is available as well. Decor is great - shower is hot and has the large shower head. Comfortable cabin is classy with a chill vibe.
