Beautiful Craftsman Style Home

Dave’s house by the beach was a such a special, beautiful location for our group of old friends to gather! We enjoyed the well appointed front yard, the charmingly preserved home, the proximity to the beach and being able to hear the waves at night. Dave has clearly taken tremendous care in restoring the home and there are lots of wonderful little details. Everyone had a lovely time!

Very enjoyable stay with many old friends in town for a water polo camp. Wonderful setting for relaxing after many hours of exercise. Super easy check in and out. Highly recommend. Thank you Dave!

Gorgeous, well appointed, lovely relaxing yard with plenty of room to enjoy your family. Walking distance to clean sandy beach, restaurants and corner market. Host is quick to respond and offers clear instructions. We didn't want to leave this house. Hope to return and stay longer.

The house was excellent and a fantastic location! Lovely interior and furnishings. A unique experience! Support from the host to recover our laptop left behind was great.

This house is in a great location, just a block from an overlook of the beach, offering some views of the ocean from upstairs rooms. The kitchen has everything, and the large table is perfect for our group of 9. It is challenging to find a house with 5 bedrooms, however, it is essential to note that one of the bedrooms is located off the front porch and locks independently. The windows in this room are nailed shut. We didn't know this, and it made it tricky to figure out how to sleep parents and young children. Also, the room was hot and stuffy. The house was not very clean. I know it's old but the dust wasn't even vacuumed out from under the beds. All in all, I'd say it was OK and we had a reasonably nice time.

We have stayed here before and always have a wonderful time. The location is wonderful with the beach, restaurants and stores nearby. Getting to stay in a vintage home that's fairly well taken care of is a treat. We hope to stay there again!

The location is great and yard is beautiful. Loved the outside bathroom and shower. Large home for a family vacation. No washer and or dryer on property, carpets and sofas need to be cleaned. Owner and cleaner were great and helpful.

The location was amazing! One block from the beach and walking distance to the Boardwalk and downtown. The bottom floor bedroom with connecting bathroom were perfect for my elderly mom. Windows could use some screens so guests can get fresh air without bugs.

Beautiful historic house! Amazing location! Only complaints:*are no laundry. I know it wasn’t listed, I just assumed. *not clean- floors were so dirty! The kids feet and socks were black after a couple hours. Thick dust under couches and on all the knick knacks*oven set for Celsius(had to figure out how to change), coffee maker auto setting doesn’t work, lights over outside sitting area don’t work.*need to label light switches

7 family members including a baby were in Santa Cruz for a college graduation. This home offered us plenty of space with alot of charm. Close to the beach and a lovely yard are added amenities!

Loved the attention to detail keeping it Craftsman

This house was absolutely stunning. Fully stocked with everything you could need and super clean. The proximity to the beach was perfect and great food and coffee shop within walking distance. The owner was lovely when we saw him before he left for the weekend and easy to communicate with before our stay. We loved the option of an outdoor toilet and shower and thought the layout of the house was perfect. Our group has already talked about wanting to come back for a longer stay !
