Beautiful bright new home, walk to Easton's Beach

My husband and I stayed at the house with our daughter along with my mom for her birthday trip to Newport. Overall I thought the reviews were deceiving. The access was easy to get to the house, however, the house itself needs lots of TLC. - The linens need updating. The towels look like half of Newport used them and the pillows and mattresses were both very used. - There was also a balcony door that would not lock properly and was never fixed within our visit. - There was SIGNIFICANT mold in the washer which leads me to believe that all linens were contaminated. As well as I could not do laundry for my infant which I had planned to do and why we had booked a VRBO to begin with. After I spoke with the host she sent over someone to clean but you cannot get ride of mold like that. It was still there. - Window that was broken in living room.- LOTS of windows with out window coverings. i.e. Bathroom, I had to shower with the lights off so I did not give a show to the front neighbors. There were also small windows in the master bedroom that did not have coverings.The house did have a lot of room for people like the other reviews stated. The host was responsive but did not check in to ensure that all was communicated was taken care of. If I had to chose again, I would not recommend or stay at this house.

The pictures of this house do not do it justice. It’s absolutely stunning. It has so much room and is in such a central location to everything. There were 8 of us and we had more than enough space. Do not hesitate, book now!

This house was a perfect place for us to get away for a quick mom’s weekend. It was conveniently located near the cliff walk and a quick Uber ride to downtown Newport. The house was nice and clean and offered a lot of space. Everybody was able to sleep comfortably in their own bed. The open floor plan allowed for us all to be able to hang out downstairs comfortably. We also liked the ability to be able to work out on our stay as well. The house is well stocked, not only with linens but paper goods. This helped our packing. Maryellen was also very responsive through the app. I would definitely rent again from not only her but also at this location.

Mary Ellen is kind, helpful, and responsive. Check in and check out were so easy. The house is huge! We had 6 adults and 4 young kids and had more than enough space for our group. We could spread out as needed or all be together comfortably in the main living/ kitchen space. The kids loved eating at the big round table. The house is in a great location for exploring all that Newport/ Middletown have to offer. We would definitely stay again.

Eight old friends got together for a weekend reunion. There was plenty of room for all of us, and there is a nice big living area where we could congregate. The main kitchen appliances are great, including a double oven . The cooking utensils were a bit lacking, particularly smaller sauce pans and a large frying pan or griddle we were looking for, and measuring cups and spoons. We cooked some soup, but there was no soup ladle to serve it. We also had to pick up some dish towels from someone who lives locally. (We did all our cooking at the house rather than going out to Newport restaurants.) The host had communicated well in advance of our gathering. An improvement that could be made is fixing the front steps to the house. They angle a bit and several of us found it slightly difficult to go up and down them. We also could have used a couple more big chairs in the living room. The house sleeps 10 easily, but seating in the living room doesn't match that capacity. We would have loved to use the lovely gas fireplace, but it's not in operation. We also recommend some bedside lamps to better accommodate reading before going to bed. My friends and I had a great stay at this lovely home back in June! It was big enough to accommodate us all. It is in a great location - easy access to downtown Newport and nearby food spots. Parking was easy for a big group with multiple cars. As a group of only girls, we didn't feel comfortable utilizing the downstairs bedroom, but I'm sure it's great for families. Thank you to Mary Ellen for her excellent communication as well!

My niece was getting married at the Eisenhower House. As a family we decided to rent a house and be all together rather than rent rooms in hotels and be scattered about Newport. This home was PERFECT......plenty of room, clean, beautiful yard and within walking distance to the beach. We had a wonderful time and wish we could have stayed longer.
