Located in Ruakākā, Barefoot Bach is our own family's holiday home. Whilst we've done a little updating and freshening, we consciously wanted to keep that old style kiwi Bach feel, so the house is very original. Please keep this in mind before renting, this is NOT a new house.

Only a few short steps to a fabulous wide, white sandy surf, means that you can hear the waves break from the comfort of the hammock or Balinese lounger on the sunny front deck. Kick off your day with a freshly brewed coffee from the coffee machine (BYO favourite grind!) and use the fully equipped kitchen to put together a cook up for the family.

The home is suitable for Summer or winter, with a heat pump for year-round temperature control, open fire, and outdoor areas for alfresco meals. Settle in for the evening with a Netflix movie or enjoy the range of indoor and outdoor games on site.

Three bedrooms for your comfort, each appointed with comfy beds, make this holiday home the ideal destination for a relaxed friends retreat or a beach friendly family getaway.

Please note our home is on a very quiet street, with young families, so this is not a party house, we welcome guests who will be respectful of both our home and our lovely neighbours.

From this amazing location you can take a short 1-2 minute walk to Ruakaka Beach at the end of the road. A long stretch of white sand and waves crashing on the shore, to allow you to make use of the surfboards, boogie boards and kayaks on site.

The bach is just a two-minute drive from the local store and restaurants if you need supplies or feel like venturing out for a meal. Or check out beautiful and historic Waipu nearby. Also near the shops is a playground and skatepark, and the local community centre offers pay as you go use of the gym and fitness classes.

Living Room - 2 Single airbeds (or use these in one of the bedrooms if you prefer)

Sleep out - NOT INCLUDED IN NIGHT RATE, We have converted the garage into a sleepout for our teens, it has bunk bed, fridge/freezer, TV with chromecast (play your streaming from your phone or BYO Gaming console to plug in). two extra single mattresses allow it to sleep 4. Available for an extra $150/night. See photos under Theme Room/office.

Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. We will contact you if this is required for your booking.

Please book for the correct number of guests, anyone bringing unbooked extra guests will have their booking immediately terminated and be asked to leave and pay a fine of up to $1000nzd.
