Stayed Dec 14, 2025The house was nice and clean. Perfect for two people. The hot tub was clean and we loved the gas fireplace for the cool evenings. There is ongoing construction on the street in front of the unit but parking is available in the drive. This unit is close to the beach and easily accessible. The host, Liz, was quick to answer questions. Cute little beach house.

Stayed Oct 14, 2025Stayed with a friend. Place is very family and pet friendly. Lots of things for kids to do. Hot tub set at 100, a bit too cool for us. Need salt and pepper shakers. Maybe a list of what we could have recycled besides bottles and cans. Really nice. Would recommend to a small family.

Stayed Sep 7, 2025The house was very welcoming and sunny. With some communication prior to arrival, the host was able to accommodate all 4 of us in this moderate space. I wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoor space which included a hot tub and was as large as the inside of the house. The neighborhood was very quiet, and we had no issues with parking or finding the home. We did take advantage of the home's proximity to the beach (5 minutes) and took a long morning walk before our departure.

Stayed Jun 3, 2025My family of 4 (plus dog) enjoyed many aspects of this home. However, two major inaccuracies in the listing are worth mentioning. 1. It is listed as 2 bedroom, but is definitely a 1 bedroom with a second bed in the living room. This was a surprise to us when we arrived, as the photos and listing suggested 2 bedrooms, and anyone who has traveled with young kids knows the difference between being able to put kids to bed in a closed door bedroom, vs the living room. This meant everyone had to essentially go to bed and wake up at the same time (not ideal).2. There is an additional rental property on site with other guests that share entryway, laundry, trash. I wish this had been mentioned in the listing, since we often worried about our kids disturbing the other guests, and my understanding of VRBO had been that you got the entire property.Aside from this, the home was beautiful, well-stocked, with lots of natural light. The yard was great for kids with a trampoline and hot tub. There is no AC, but opening the windows during the day kept the temperature between 60-80 degrees. The location was wonderful, a short walk to the beach, we loved Venus Pie Trap for morning coffee and pastries, and Nisene Marks Forest was just a few minute’s drive.Host was responsive, neighborhood felt very safe, and Aptos was a wonderful place to visit.

Stayed Jan 22, 2025This was perfect for my wife and I (and our large dog). Loved the proximity to the beach while being quiet and out of any busy areas. Our only complaint, which is not so much a complaint than it is an FYI for future guests, is that the neighborhood had 0 street lights. We got into town after dark and it was a bit hard to find the house and get unpacked. If you think you'll be there after dark, bring a flashlight.
