You'll be sure to enjoy the sea sounds and Gulf breezes from Annie by the Sea's multiple large decks at our newest coastal cottage, Annie by the Sea! This newer built unobstructed waterfront escape has a tons of windows and doors to allow you and your group to take in all the natural light and plentiful serene views. Beach vacations are not over-rated, and this location on Treasure Island is no exception!

Note: the long stretch of beach and main access point is in the neighborhood at the end of Buccaneer and is enjoyable for all beach and water activities. The small beach area you see in front of the house is great for shelling, sunning, fishing and general beach activities, but the state of TX does not allow swimming.

It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.

The 979 Crew just loves this seaside and bayside community flanked by Galveston Island on one end and Surfside Beach on the other. On your drive, stop by the grocery store for your favorite grillables and beverages, make a pit stop at the bait shop to fill your bait bucket (great fishing in TI), and/or place a call to make arrangements to rent a golf cart - this is a very golf cart friendly spot. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's camp for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or kayak or head to the fishing pier on the bayside. Some much to do so little time!



Getting Around:

SAN LUIS PASS:

San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 25-30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized time with family, extended family, and friends!

When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and the 979 Crew aims to deliver on that commitment. We love our island guests!



PUP-FRIENDLY:

Bring Fido(s)! We welcome your furry friends (aka family members). Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed at this home, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog per stay



WIFI/TV SERVICE:

Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!



979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:

All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required! 



CANCELLATION POLICY:

When booking direct with 979, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations. After 24 hours, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.



Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. When booking through a 3rd party channel, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking is the cancellation policy on your reservation.

    We very much enjoyed our stay at Annie by the Sea. It was a very nice location, with a nice, clean well stocked house. The deck areas were very nice and specious for relaxing and enjoying the view.

    The house itself was nice had a little bumps about it but still was an amazing stay for myself and family. The front door needs to be fixed you had to really push to get it open and to close it you almost had to pull pretty hard. Other than that there was some minor issues but overall the entire stay was amazing. The sunrise every morning off the balcony was breathtaking. The walks on the beach and sunsets, my family really enjoyed. Thank you for the beautiful view!

    Located directly across from a little section of private beach, and fairly easy to get to the larger beach through the neighborhood. Great view, soft beds, fluffy towels, and everything you need for a group getaway. Property manager is very communicative left little extras for us. House is a little beat up, but no worse than what you would expect of a beach side rental. Looks like deck was recently extended so it is larger than what was shown in the photos.

    The place is nice, but it could use a thorough cleaning. We had a 1 year old in our group and he was crawling everywhere and his knees/feet were black from the floor. I realize the place is on the beach and expect the floors to be a bit dirty, but not on the first day. Furniture was also noticeably dirty and had rips on the couch. This is not a deal breaker, again just noticeable. Upstairs bathroom could use a little maintenance as one towel holder was just 'hanging' on to the wall and we just laid it on the sink. Fake door fronts on sink were also broken and fell off numerous times. Do not rely on the internet as it did not stay connected. We chose not to contact anyone about this as we didn't really need; however, it would have been nice so that we could connect to shows for the one year old. Beds were comfortable, set up was nice with 2 bedrooms on main floor and 2 on 2nd floor. There were enough bathrooms to accommodate all in our group (a definite plus). Towels were very plush and we had plenty for all of us and able to do laundry when/if needed. Mosquitos were horrendous and the size of Texas! Obviously not the fault of property, just wish we would have had some bug spray to enjoy the deck a bit more.

    Everything from house to catching bait right in front of house was amazing! Did have an issue with door code but management answered quickly to reaolve the issue. WILL DEFANTLY LOVE TO STAY AGAIN! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
