Above the Valley - Cozy Denali View Cottage with mountain facing deck

This Cozy Cabin had a fantastic view! We spent most of our time on the deck looking over the mountain ranges.

The million dollar view is priceless and offsets the compactness and the remoteness of the cottage. The place is very clean too.

The view from this cabin alone is well worth the price of admission! I was traveling with my teenage son and we stayed for two nights, primarily using the cabin as a crash pad while we visited Talkeetna and Denali. As described and as pictured, the cabin has basic kitchenette and bathroom amenities (the shower is really small) and the furniture in the living area is not the most comfortable, but the beds were comfortable and the phenomenal views suited our needs perfectly. This cabin is a great value and the perfect place to stay if you're looking for clean, warm place to be your homebase between Alaska adventure days. That view though! Wow! Thank you for your hospitality, Whitney!

Cottage was well taken care of and met all our needs. Unfortunately no Denali view when we were there. I suppose that happens a lot.

What a view! We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It has a beautiful view in the back. Check in was easy and communication with the owner was great. Cottage is in a good location not far from town.

Cozy and quaint, and super quiet cabin. Peaceful and relaxing, although the furniture was not too comfy. Place was clean and homey. I would stay again!!

Wonderful cabin on a ridge with fantastic view of Denali from deck and bedroom. Comfortable and clean living space. Fresh Alaska air. Great books in inventory. Was a perfect stay and nothing has compared.

At the risk of this property being booked when I want to come back to Talkeetna, I loved this property. Eight of us booked 2 cabins and were pleasantly surprised they were next to each other. We were greeted by Whitney, the host who provided great information about the area. Our view of Denali and the range from the back deck of the 1st cabin was fabulous! Great location, clean cozy cabins and they were perfect for 4 people in each. There is a 3rd cabin to the left. Our next group visit, we will try to get all 3! Thanks Whitney for a wonderful stay!

Excellent view of the mountains, really loved and used the deck. Cabin was clean and cozy. There was plenty of room for our group of 4. We were lucky enough to get a great view of Denali. Spent a day travelling to the national park, a bit of a drive but highly recommend that. Overall a nice place to stay.

We had such a wonderful time here! Our family all felt it was very nice. Not too far from town but far enough that you felt able to enjoy the wild. The host was amazing and so helpful for our stay. 10/10, will be staying here if we are ever back in the area! We saw a moose and her twins just down the road!

Very nice property. Loved the view. Had everything we needed. Easy drive to Talkeetna.

We really liked our stay here, not least, because the mountain was out at around 6.30am when we woke up and wow, what a view to wake up to!TLDR: would stay again.To be aware of: 1) if you're not comfortable on gravel roads, it might be a touch hairy. We are, and had a 4WD rental, so it was a fun ride up the hill. 2) Only 1 of the 3 bedrooms with the mountain view (upstairs queen). But this means the communal space has the view too, so everyone can appreciate it. 3) Bathroom is downstairs. 4) Mosquitos, of course, are everywhere. We thought it wonderful that they included one of those electronic 'tennis raquets' to zap any that got inside.5) If you like long showers, this is not the place for you. The nature of the location means that you need to be conservative with water. There's enough, so long as you're not going crazy.6) If you're there in the summer, take a good eye mask with you.Bottom line: would stay again, and keep everything crossed for the glorious view once more.

Small nice little cabin in the woods, real close to 2 other cabins but you are really there for the veiw and man was it something!

Popped in late for a quick overnight stay and we’re not at all disappointed. The views are spectacular and the accommodations are acceptable. I would recommend this property as more than satisfactory, especially for the price you pay.

We came there to rest between Seward and Denali and it was absolutely wonderful. Even tho there are tons of mosquitoes outside you also have a big window in the main bedroom to enjoy the view. Wendy was very accommodating, great host
