Great stay at this historical home. Beautiful update to kitchen. Large 5 bedroom, one full bath, one powder room on the first floor. We had 8 people staying-plan your showers!! Whole house very clean. Clear instructions before and upon arriving. Host prompt with responses. Easy to find, quiet neighborhood. 2 plus mile walk to stadium. Keep in mind this is a very old house and with it comes squeaky, slippery stairs and drafty rooms. The host requests shoes off in the house so bring slippers!

Super cute house with lots of room. The bathrooms are small, but that's to be expected in an old house. The kitchen was well stocked and beautifully updated. The beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious. Natalie was a gracious host. Overall it was a great stay!

Great location. The house is clean. Plenty of towels. A lot of rooms of gather and hang. Also plenty of quiet places. I was gonna get you a Iowa Hawkeye Peter Millar shirt. They had 150 bucks on it. I was like damn I’m gonna get it for my dad thinking about the case. I think that’s a wind protector skirt doesn’t fly pretty smart but

We really enjoyed staying in a historical house in a lovely residential neighborhood although walkable close to a great bakery. We were having family-and friends- who live in the area over for meals and visiting so the really great-and big-kitchen and dining room-and multiple reception rooms were really great for us. We also enjoyed being able to have four bedrooms available.Natalie was very responsive to any questions, etc, that we had and we appreciated that.

The house is amazing. My family had to come for a funeral. We had 8 adults staying there and it was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs and I was able to host a family dinner for 17. The grounds are lovely and the yard was host to numerous deer throughout our stay.

We throughly enjoyed spending time together in the house. We brought some lawn chair & used the chairs provided to spend time out of the back patio. The island in the kitchen was wonderful to stand around.

Such a great place to stay in Iowa City! Plenty of space for the family, multiple rooms for relaxing, playing games, or just visiting. Had a great back patio for enjoying the afternoon sun. The bedrooms are so spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was very well-appointed. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. Walk down to DeLuxe for a baked treat! The owners were easy to communicate with, friendly, and quick to respond. We will definitely stay here again!

The Historic Kirkwood home was fantastic! It was super cozy and we had a ton of space. The beds were comfortable. The pictures from the website do not do the space and home justice, it was more than we expected, very nice home. It was old and creaky, but that just made it more lovable. Location was a bit away from walking distance to downtown Iowa City, but it was a short, inexpensive Uber ride. All in all a great place and would recommend.

This home is a great blend of historic appeal and updated conveniences and comfort. We were concerned about having 1 1/2 baths, but the number and sizes of the bedrooms more than made up for that. The location was great for downtown, campus, and getting to and from CID.

Very enjoyable stay. The property is as described and better than pictured. While the house has retained much of its historic charm, the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and dishes. The beds were comfortable and there were nice linens provided. There was plenty of space for a large group to gather around the huge dining room table and there were also lovely sitting rooms for relaxing. There is a long driveway with space for multiple cars and a patio with a charcoal grill. Although we didn’t use it, there was even charcoal provided for the grill. Would definitely stay here when we return to IC.
