Beautiful, peaceful house with amazing views! Love it!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The home was spotless and fully stocked with everything you could need. There were plenty of towels (bath, beach, and washcloths), as well as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper products, and even paper plates. The kitchen had every cooking utensil imaginable, plus a gas grill for easy outdoor meals.For beach days, the owners really thought of everything—beach toys, chairs for the whole family, and even an umbrella. The private beach was large, peaceful, and had no obstacles in the water, making it perfect for swimming. The walk down is 50 stairs, but they are broken up with platforms, which made it very manageable.When it rained, we loved the indoor entertainment—pool table, ping pong, and even Pac-Man kept everyone busy.We had one day when the power went out, but the generator quickly kicked in and all was well! But the true highlight was the view. From the moment you walk into the mudroom and kitchen, you’re greeted with stunning views of Lake Michigan. The two three-season rooms and two decks gave us multiple spots to soak it all in, and the sunsets were unforgettable.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend!

Wonderful home, perfect for large families. Location was excellent as was the quality and comfort of the home. Easy access to a beautiful and clean private beach. A variety of beach chairs and toys were available to use, suitable for all ages. I would highly recommend this home!

The property is well cared for, and communication is excellent. Beautiful views, couldn’t ask for a better beach, and everyone has plenty of space. Heaven!

This was our second time @ the Burt lake house. It is very clean, spacious & comfortable. Tons of towels. Nice beach chairs & toys (no umbrellas). It’s located in a quiet neighborhood. Great for walking & checking out the different shared beach access stairs & decks. This house has very nice beach stairs of its own. Many thanks.

This was our second time at the lake house, and we want to come back again next year! The owners are very responsive and accommodating, the location is fantastic, the home is just perfect for a couple of families, and everything you need is right there.My favorite spot is the upper three-season porch: absolutely perfect for reading for hours while overlooking Lake Michigan and watching the boats pass by. The beach is private, quiet, and accessible by stairs. The neighborhood is peaceful and walkable. There are 3 HVAC zones in the house, which allowed all of us to be comfortable. Plenty of space for playing games, cooking, watching TV, or cozying up with a good book. Meijer is just over 10 minutes away if you need groceries or supplies.We love this place!

What a wonderful place! There was nothing at all to complain about, hands down best VRBO property we have ever booked. The beach was quiet as well as the neighborhood. The house was well stocked with everything you would need- garbage bags, paper towel, kitchen items for cooking in, etc. The view was spectacular and with the four porch we were able to enjoy during the rain. Owner was fast to respond to email and the check out was the best I have ever experienced. We booked already for next summer! Thanks again for helping us make some great family memories.

Fantastic property & with great water views. Located between Grand Haven & Holland for great waterfront dining options. Will plan to stay here again.

The house was just right for us. We had one set of grandparents, two adult children and their spouses and one 7 year old grand child. The house was big enough for people to find a place to get away if needed. The stairs to the beach may hinder some people but that was not a problem for us unless you may have mobility issues. The view from the house was lovely in fact we waited for the sunsets over Lake Michigan each night. Kitchen and house were well stocked. There was some mention that wifi was spotty but we didn't have an issue with that either. There was not room in the garage for any cars but plenty of room to park three cars in the drive way. The three season porches were lovely. We had dinner on the outside deck each night.

Excellent communication with host, property exactly as described, great location, clean and spacious, wonderful private beach. Looking forward to next year!

The bottom line: we will be back! The Burts' lake house is in a wonderful location, high atop a Lake Michigan dune, with windows all around to take in the gorgeous views: sunsets, boats cruising through, and tall, lush trees. Communication with the hosts was great: they were highly responsive and accommodating. The home was equipped with everything we needed, including plenty of towels, linens, and cozy throw blankets. For a 3-generation group of 5 people, it was the perfect amount of space for us. There are even 2 decks and 2 three-season rooms. I spent many hours in the upper three-season room (with a full view of the lake, comfy chairs, and a ceiling fan), and I miss it already. The home was clean and tidy, and there were a lot of comfortable spaces for relaxing, reading, watching movies, and chatting with loved ones. The stairs to the beach are numerous and steep, but once you get the hang of it, it's fine. There are beach chairs and towels provided. The kitchen is spacious, and if you're an aspiring chef, there are double ovens and a countertop range. Three HVAC zones, so everyone will be comfortable. The primary suite is large and comfortable. The public beach is visible from the home's private beach, but the sound does not carry, and other than one day when neighbors were playing in the water, we hardly heard anyone else. We watched many motorboats, pontoons, freighters (one totally lit up at night), and barges cross the water. A wonderful place to stay!
