3bd/2ba Cottage w Hot Tub/Bikes/Amenities. Walk to Beach, Harbor, Restaurants

This place exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, had plenty of room, and lots of natural light. We loved having the ocean breeze come through the house.The appliances were nice, the beds were comfortable, and the location near the beach was great. We’d definitely stay here again.

Our experience at the rock house was excellent. Everything was very clean and organized when we got there and all of the rooms were well kept and tidy. All of the appliances worked well, as well as the showers; although, the TV in the living g room did have one small issue where it would repeat itself. Other than that everything was great. The hot tub was a nice addition that was convenient to relax in after a long day of fun. The distance from the beach is nice but a little farther than we thought. Nonetheless we had a great time and we would love to visit again.

The host responded to all my messages in a timely manner. The home was so cute and very very clean. I would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Rockhouse. Easy communication with the host and seamless check in. The kitchen is well equipped and bedding and bath towels etc where fine. The 3rd bedroom is very small with a twin daybed and trundle pull out. We had planned to put 2 adults in it but opted to set up cot in one of the other bedrooms because the room was kind of cramped for 2 adults. We loved the hot tub! Our visit to Santa Cruz was to participate in a 5k/10k event and the hot tub was a welcome addition. I liked the location. Everything we wanted was in easy driving distance. The harbor is super close and an easy walk. Great weekend! Thanks Paul and Kate.

The home was easy to find due to the rock exterior and in a wonderful location perfect accommodation for our family.

Great location, with all beach-bound amenities provided! Loved the proximity to multiple beaches - we barbecued and made smores in a bonfire pit at Twin Lakes, had brunch at the Crow's nest, hung out at Seabright... Our family had an amazing weekend making birthday memories. I'm very thankful, highly recommend!!

The host was extremely helpful but the house had mold so we could t stay. We were on the phone with customer service for over an hour and half. They refused to help us find a new rental or return our money despite the mold. They wanted us to crawl under the house to look for mold to document it which we refused to do. Luckily the owner was kind and gave us our money back. We missed sundown candle lighting on Hanukkah and got sick from sitting in the cold house for so long. We ended up having to book another place that was 250 more. Vrbo was not supportive and cost us more money on our trip. It was a terrible experience with terrible customer service. Plus they offered me 120 in compensation and never replied to any of my emails. So they lied about compensation.

House was spacious for our group, great distance from the beach and walking path to the light house. We loved having access to the bikes, boogie boards, and hot tub. Having stayed in smaller homes in this neighborhood, having two full baths and a larger kitchen area was very nice. The street could be a little noisy at night but not too bad. We did have to have the windows open all the time, do to there being no A/C. I don't know if the A/C just wasn't working or if we were doing something wrong. It never got too bad to were I had to inquire with the hosts. If I had to change anything about the stay it would be the air situation. Other than that we had a great time!

The place was clean and good location. Only 10 min walk to the beach, and 20 min drive to the boardwalk was great!

Great location!

House was located just 8 minute walk to beach. However, most of the time we loaded the car and dropped everything and person at the beach and then driver would go back to the house and would walk back to the beach. Spa was nice after a late evening after the beach. Kids used body boards available in shed. We used beach chairs. Plenty of beach towels available. Host available by VRBO messaging. Replied promptly.

The location is excellent, within walking distance to beach & restaurants. Also, the hot tub & boogie boards were great amenities. Mostly everything else was good also. A couple suggestions: the dishwasher has a rack that is broken & basically useless so you can't get too many dishes in, especially bowls. Also, the table in the kitchen is too big for the area & very difficult to move to accommodate people on all sides of the table.

The rock house was great for our family. The shed is well stocked with beach toys and we loved the hot tub. Everything was great.

We had an amazing 3 days! It was nice to be a short walk from the beach and the house comes with all you need to enjoy it. The house is beautiful and so much was provided. The only minus was that the bridge was under repair which caused a significant detour - but all is good.. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you!!

The Rockhouse was exactly what we wanted. The location is perfect as there is beach access with restaurants, volleyball courts, a harbor with lots of fishing and relaxing. The home was very clean and we loved how the shed is fully stocked with bikes, wetsuits, beach accessories etc. the owners were prompt and attentive if needed. We will rent here again. Had a great time. I grew up in Santa Cruz and have been living in Hawaii in the last 20 years, it was nice to come home and show my family around where I grew up.

House is centrally located and very 1990s beach chic, but road construction limited access and reduced walkability. House was clean, but dryer lint trap was full of lint and sand. Had to deal with a load of damp towels, clean the dryer, re-run the load, and fold them to have enough linens for the house.

We had so much fun at the Rockhouse. Close to everything, lots of amenities, and the selection of wetsuits were perfect for our kids. Highly recommend!

It was so nice to be so close to the beach! They have everything you could need to have a fun day at the beach. Super close to the boardwalk! Everything was great :)

Truly enjoyed this cozy, comfortable home. The layout of the house . it allowed all to have some private space to hang out in. The decorating was pefect and made the house ever so inviting. Close to the water … convenient. Talking with the owners was so easy . Thank you! Carole

This was a lovely place. Exactly as advertised.

My son decided he wanted a family vacation for his 16th birthday and this was a great location. Super easy check in and great communication. The house was nice, great space, the floors needed to be swept and mopped and there was a load of towels in the dryer, so not sure if the house was clean between stays. Still really nice location, close to what I wanted, and would absolutely stay again. The beach is literally across and down the street, 5 minutes walk away.Highly recommend for families.

Very cozy and peaceful.

Great location. Really like the restaurant around the corner. Beach coffee shop was fun. Had a ukulele band on Saturday!
