Lovely spot with a great porch for coffee or cocktails. Can walk to all attractions easily.
We needed a place to call home base, for running the Catalina Marathon, and this place is very conveniently located in Avalon. A quick two minute walk to Vons for all our provisions, and an easy 4 minute walk into town. A comfy place to rest up before race day?
Great location
Roomy living areas and kitchen. Bedrooms were cozy. Front porch was nice for relaxing and reading books. Great for a family!
This was my first time using Vrbo and likely the last. I travel frequently and use the other well known rental company which shall not be named so this post will be approved (3 X over the last month) and didn’t appreciate all the hidden late check in and late check out fees that automatically got tacked onto my card because self check in and check our was not made available and I had to coordinate my trip to match the company checking us in. The property was already over priced and after Vrbo’s and the rental management companies fees it became even worse and unbarable.
Nice and clean, and the house had everything we needed.
This is a very cute little house, about 2.5 blocks from the main drag, up a bit of a hill. Fantastic front porch, very comfortable beds. The place could use a little TLC, but was very satisfactory for us and the other couple we traveled with. We did have a bit of an issue with the ceiling light fixture in the bedroom with the twin beds (our room) - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, and other times it just flickered on and off. We checked the bulb and that wasn't the problem. Reported the issue when we checked out, so hopefully it will be fixed for the next renters. Also, there is no easy access to an outlet to charge a cell phone, etc. in the that same bedroom. Had to charge our phones in the kitchen, which really is no big deal, and glad I brought a little flashlight to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Overall, we liked the place, but would probably try another next time we come to Catalina.
The house was centrally located to Avalon which was quite convenient but we found that it was very noisy for most of the day with a lot of golf cart traffic. There is a front porch but it wasn't very relaxing because of all the activity. If you don't mind activity then this place is great. I was with my in-laws and they were hoping for more of a quiet get away. The home itself suited our needs as we were able to cook meals and BBQ. Reservations, picking up and returning keys were a breeze!
