Avalon, California
This is an incredible island vacation home located just three short blocks from the beach, shopping and more. The home features 2 bedrooms, 1 3/4 baths and a deck off the master suite upstairs, which offers hillside views. The galley style kitchen has granite counter tops, a gas stove, and everything you need to prepare snacks to meals. You will find tile floors throughout the home. 309CE | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day).
Close to the shops but far away enough to be quiet
Quiet yet close to the beach. Friendly servicd
Booked a trip to go in a scuba dive. Property was located conveniently close to everything. House was cozy, and we had a good time.
This cute house was a nice place to stay. Everything was the way it was advertised except none of the TVs would work. No problem I say, I’ll just let the property manager know. I sent two messages but all I heard were crickets. It’s like the manager went on vacation or to the hospital. I suggest a phone number for future guests to call.
Very clean and comfortable, walking distance to beach and attractions. First let me say that I would recommend, so please don't think this is a negative review. It would have been 5 stars on all criteria, but the ones that were 4 stars instead are: Overall- 1 star reduced because the downstairs shower and kitchen sink hot water is spotty, it kind of gets warm and cold. I could never get the kitchen sink water to be hot, it would get fairly warm but that was it. The shower was the same, however the upstairs shower was great. Neighborhood-- the only neighborhood location in Catalina I give 5 stars is houses on Eucalyptus Street, where cart traffic is blocked. Until the day comes that Avalon can support a 100% electric fleet of golf carts, all other locations will have noise and air pollution. This is not this property's fault, but an overall Catalina experience. Maybe I'm a grumpy old man that doesn't like noise and fumes, but the kids didn't care :-). Overall, thanks for the stay, we enjoyed it!
It was our first time staying on Catalina and I think this home felt like the island. Everything was within walking distance, including the ferry, groceries, restaurants, etc. As a party of four with young kids (3 and 5), the home was perfect as it was in a quiet neighborhood and was plenty comfortable with lots of space. I enjoyed napping with the balcony door open pulling in the cool ocean breeze. My kids liked the board games and puzzles. My wife enjoyed the great water pressure in the shower. We had a great weekend here.
Property is located a short distance from the Harbor in a quiet neighborhood with access to supermarket a short walk away. Everything was in excellent condition and it was a delightful stay.
Lovely place for a long weekend getaway with family. 6 people stayed comfortably. The alcove is great for kids to have their own place to hang out. Very convenient location--close to beach and Vons. The balcony was nice for a quiet breakfast in the morning sun.
Located just a few blocks from the main retail / restaurant frontage street in Avalon and in a relatively quite area. Sleeps 4 comfortably in 2 rooms. The sofa bed was very old, in bad shape, and needs replacement. The management company responded promptly and brought over a self-inflating air mattress that took care of our needs. Everything else was as advertised. The golf cart pictured in the ad does not come with the rental.
I am a frequent visitor to Avalon and have stayed in many of the hotels and rentals around town... The BEAUTIFULLY spacious & clean home at 309 Clemente Avenue is now my absolute favorite!!! JUST far away enough to have quiet from the noise of hourly taxis to-and-from the mole, the necessary but noisy daily trash collections at the town center, and the tour buses. The home has a beutiful kitchen and sumptuous top floor master bedroom. I am already planning my next stay here!
