    The house next door to this property is being rebuilt and in a state deconstruction. Lots of dirt and debris from the work. The street the house is on is very convenient to the beach Access, but is also a major road with lots of traffic all day and well into the nights and mornings. Since the house is not A/C you must leave the windows open to be cool enough to enjoy. So you get constant road noise and fumes from old gas carts. House needs some basic repairs such as replaced ceiling fan in one room, window locks and curtain’s desperately need cleaned. Bathroom is also in need of an upgrade. Overall the house has a cute vibe and has a classic Catalina bungalow feel to it. Just needs to have some love put back into it.

    This is a great property with lots of space for multiple adults and children. Fantastic location. Two cleanliness issues bothered us. One of the red blankets on the bed had stains on it. The other issue was an **extremely foul odor** like a dead animal coming from the trash bins out front. With the front windows open and bedroom windows open at night, this odor wafted through the entire house. It was really bad. The good thing is that these two cleanliness issues can be remedied, and I'm sure the owners will address these issues. You can tell that this home is cared for by a loving family that enjoys spending time there as well. My friends and I would rent this cottage again.

    This is our fourth time staying at this property and it never disappoints. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the location could not be better. The working wood-burning fireplace added extra ambience and allowed us to enjoy our evenings cozied up with a great book. We will continue to book this house again it again every time we visit the island.

    Great location, beautiful home, all 4 beds linens were fresh and clean, beds are supper comfy, spacious and clean home, close to Vons, restaurants, and plenty of shopping. I can't write it all here but I can say that this will be my go-to whenever I'm here from now on.

    the place was fully equipped. the portable fans were extremely dirty when we turned them on, dust was flying everywhere. maybe have your cleaning crew try to dust them....major allergies otherwise, we loved staying there.

    The day prior to check in I was told on the phone I could check in early because the house was not occupied. Upon arrival Natalie was less than friendly. Maggie’s cottage was in fair shape, kitchen could use some updating.

    The location is good, within walking distance of Avalon’s downtown. That’s pretty much it tho. The house was dirty upon arrival and is pretty run down. Wouldn’t mind the fact that the house is not in good condition if it wasn’t for the really high price. I thought the goal would be to bring people to the island to make the local commerce work instead of insanely high rental prices to feed the renting company’s pocket... Also the checkout at 10am is pretty ridiculous especially because the cleaners were literally parked in front of the house at 9:30am waiting for us to leave.
