We really enjoyed our stay at the Green Turtle Houseboat, the location is amazing, with great views of the harbour and marina. Highly recommended.

Just close your eyes and imagine being surrounded by water, having your coffee on the pier in the sunshine, sleeping in the breeze from the open windows while being rocked like your momma used to do. Small and immaculate, with thoughtful extras. Jon is a doll!

A houseboat in Boston Harbor? Yes, please! We had a fabulous time living on the harbor for a few days. The houseboat was a perfect base of operations for our time in Boston. The hosts were fabulous, we were greeted when we got in about 11p in the evening, and shown what we needed to see! They even included a fully stocked fridge (with water, juice, milk, yogurt), coffee, and a fresh plate of baked goods. We will definitely stay again!

The general adventure of staying on a house boat, and the convenience of so many historical sites within walking distance made our time in Boston/Charlestown a complete delight

This was the last stop of our New England Fall Foliage amazing trip and this stop did not disappoint! It was perfect and within walking to most things to a fairy or bus stop without having to drive in Boston traffic. Woke up each morning to all the boats in the harbor and it was so beautiful and peaceful. Such a cute boathouse. Breakfast was perfect each day. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in Boston!!! Thanks so much!

Loved the house boat. It was a nice alternative to a hotel. The views of the harbor were amazing. The house was clean and well stocked.We had some nice light breakfast items yogurt, danish and muffins as well as coffee, tea and milk. Not a lot of shopping in the area, but there was a nice little store within comfortable walking distance where we picked up what we needed. We ate at Pier 6 and the Anchor. I would recommend both. A note of caution if you are prone to motion sickness this might not be a good option for you. The house is on water and does rock. I liked the gentle rocking.

Great houseboat experience! The check in process was fairly easy and the small kitchenette gave us the option to make coffee and have a quick breakfast in the mornings.

Such a great place to stay! After busy days touring around Boston, it was so relaxing to return to the Marina. We could just sit on the deck with our drink and watch the boats moving through the harbor. It was so nice to have pastries on the counter and cold water in the refrigerator when we arrived. There was coffee, tea, and yogurt also available. There was some movement on the houseboat, but that just made sleeping all that much better in the comfortable bed. The space was very clean and quiet. I would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at this charming and unique property in lively Charlestown. The location is excellent - walkable to downtown or to public transportation and also very easy to access by car. Parking is available at the marina, which is a huge plus! The website does not mention the price, but we found it to be reasonable. Check-in and check-out could not have been easier and communication was easy and efficient throughout. Karen and Jon offer a lovely breakfast plate of sweetbreads and muffins which we injoyed on the dock with our coffee. A fun alternative to a hotel stay - just be ready to be gently rocked to sleep!!

Our two night stay started at 10pm when we arrived from the airport. The owners let us know ahead of time that Sherrie, the property manager, would be meeting us at the pier to show us to the property. This was a little confusing when I was originally told, but made total sense when we got there! If Sherrie hadn’t met up with us, we would have been lost! She walked us down the pier, showed us how the security gate worked, and showed us all the ins and out of the area. She was very personable and friendly. The boat was great - had everything we needed and more. And was a great location. We also felt very secure! I would recommend to any friends or family members.

Merry Christmas in May! This vacation was a Christmas gift and we had been counting down the months & days! We enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely plan to return. We love the water, so this was the perfect spot for us! Sherrie & the owners were very responsive and helpful upon arrival. Thank you so much for sharing The Green Turtle with us!!

It was very fun staying in a boat house. Little nervous about how we would like it but it was lovely and so fun to do something different! The stocked fridge and homemade goodies and great coffee was an added bonus! Had everything we needed (except maybe a couple extra pillows) We came so I could run the Boston Marathon! What a wonderful experience and your boat house was the icing on top to an amazing weekend! Thank You!!

Beautiful views. Everything I needed there or close by. Ferry into downtown is lovely. Dovetail restaurant has the best coffee.

Amazing experience and host

Had a great long St.Patricks weekend at the Green Turtle so happy we found this place instead of the normal hotel stay. Will be back!

Lovely days in Boston. We were sorry not to meet Jon. He sounds like a charming host.

We flew in on a red-eye, and Jon arranged for Sherry to meet us at the rental bright and early, that was much appreciated. Location was great for us as it was convenient to our son’s college and Logan airport. We really enjoyed walking along the Harbor Walk to North Station for the T. All in all, a nice stay.

It was great. Comfortable stay. The only issue we had at all was leaving on the last day. Driving out there was no key pad to enter the code we had been given. Had to push a button and talk to a person. We didn’t have the information she wanted so it took a few minutes to get. Fortunately there was no body behind us so it worked out. That needs to be cleaned up.
