Take advantage of the beautiful weather and enjoy a meal or mix up a cocktail on the spacious aft deck, while soaking up the sights and sounds of the harbor. If it gets too hot or too chilly, head inside to cool off or warm up with central air conditioning and heat.

Located in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard, the yacht is just steps away from popular attractions like the Freedom Trail, North End, and Downtown, making it an ideal base for exploring Boston. Book your stay on Carpe Diem II now and experience the unique charm of living on the water in this historic neighborhood.

-The Space-

Heading inside, her main salon offers comfortable seating for 6. A great spot to cozy up with a book after a fun day in the city. A Bluetooth speaker, Smart-TV, and ample plugs for charging your devices add to the livability of the boat.

Step down to the galley and dinette, equipped with everything you need to make a meal onboard: a two-burner induction cooktop, convection microwave/oven, toaster, small fridge and plenty of glasses, crockery, cutlery, and pots and pans. Also, the cooking basics, salt, pepper, oil, sugar, tea, coffee, and a welcome bowl of snacks. The dinette table comfortably sits 4.

If you would like to arrange for a boat tour of Boston during your stay, please ask, and we will put you in touch with the best charters in the area.

-Common Questions-

• Is there wifi on board
Yes!

• Does the boat have A/C & Heat
The boat has both A/C and Heat! It is a boat, so there is minimal insulation, but it stays comfy. Most guests prefer to keep the windows open for a nice sea breeze during the summer and cozy up in a sweatshirt during the cooler months.

• Can we get picked up or dropped off at different wharves around the harbor
Yes! There are water taxis that can take you directly from the airport to the marina, and from the boat to anywhere else you may need to go.

• Is there parking nearby
Yes – parking at the marina is available for $28/day along with other parking garages in the area.

• Will there be enough room
The yacht is wonderfully comfortable! There's ample headroom in the cabin, and the beds just as large as queen-size beds you'd have at home. Please bear in mind that the boat is on water and it will move. While it's a gentle rock, If you're the kind of person who feels queasy just looking at boats, then this might not be the best option for you.

We loved our stay on the boat. It was really nice to have space both indoors and out to relax in. Spaces big enough for four to comfortably read, chat, play games etc. Perfect little galley for preparing snacks and fridge for drinks. The berths were spacious (by boat standards) and beds were comfortable. Even the heads were larger than I’ve seen on other boats. The Marina is quiet and secure. Some seriously impressive yachts moored there. The neighborhood is highly walkable with great little markets about 8 min walk away. Also, short jaunt to Bunker Hill neighborhood and monument. Chad is a great host. Excellent communications and fast responses. His restaurant and activity recommendations were extensive and dependably good. I’d highly recommend if your looking for something a little different and a distinctly local experience.

I rarely leave reviews, but I'm making an exception because this was a great experience. What a fun way to explore the city! Conveniently located, near public transit and the Freedom Trail. Chad met us at the dock with drinks!! The marina area is quiet and peaceful. As my son said after a long day of walking: I want my yacht and I want it now!

We had the best time! Chad is a fantastic host! The itinerary he sent us as a guide was perfection! The yacht was comfortable and peaceful after a busy day in the city. We took advantage of the marina bath house and could not have been happier about it- safe, secure, and very very clean. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a change of stay- it was pretty awesome. Thanks Chad!

This was an amazing place to stay. The view from the boat was amazing. It was close to everything in the Boston area. For example...1/8 mile to USS Constitution...1 mile to Bunker Hill.Chad the host was also treat. He communicated often, was a wealth of information and worked to make our stay as comfortable as possible.Basically, I couldn't recommend this boat enough.

The host was very communicative, the yacht was in good shape, and the marina was modern and centrally located. We especially liked the proximity to the ferry, and the bath house was an important resource to leverage in order to efficiently get through showers with five people. Besides for the two bedrooms, there are plenty of unique spots to unwind and sleep, both inside and out on deck.

Chad and Holly were amazing hosts! They sent us local recs about a week in advance of our trip and made sure we had everything we needed for an excellent stay. We loved the boat and were very comfortable. The ferry made for a fun way to access the city never needing our car. We loved the harbor and felt very safe. The neighbors were especially friendly. I can't say enough good things about this property or our gracious hosts. Five stars!!

We were a little nervous about how late we were arriving, but Chad stayed in touch with us during our flight across the US and met us at the marina at 9:30 pm to show us the boat and get us tucked in. And he was regularly available during our stay when we had questions. Staying on a yacht is a different experience--clearly less spacious than a hotel room. But in exchange for that, we got a lovely view of Boston from across the harbor, an enjoyable fireworks display and a peaceful, relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of a day in Boston.

My family loved staying on Chad and Holly's boat! This was so much better than renting hotel rooms. It was cozy with multiple areas to hang out. I travelled with teenagers and I had no problem sleeping while they stayed up late. The MBTA ferry was incredibly convenient and easy. Chad was easy to reach and close by to respond to any needs. I highly recommend. In fact , I'm about to send the info to my aunt who wants to travel to Boston. I'm looking forward to the next visit!

Sept 22-26. Missed the weather both sides of our trip. Awesome place to have your base. We walked over 20 miles and the ferries help a lot. Senior ferry $1.87 each way. Chad will put you on the eats too. The 7/11 is 3 blocks away. We had to make reservations back in May 2024, so get after next year. Peace Chad, till another time.

Overall the stay was fun, unique and pleasurable. Chad was good at communicating and offering suggestions regarding the Boston area. However, we did have a couple of issues with the shower drain and gally sink and although Chad committed to rectifying the issues, he did not do so. We ended up using a plunger to manage the most immediate situation, not ideal when you are paying to stay on the boat. The boat stay offers a fun and different experience for a vacation get away.
