Romantic Boston Harbor Houseboat Stay for 2 people. A/C. Close to Freedom Trail.

We absolutely loves this houseboat. Would definitely do it again. All the sights from our window and sounds. Never a dull moment and so unique! Walkable to resturants and shopping. Love love love!!

Staying on the Green Turtle made our trip-we absolutely LOVED the quiet escape from the city yet being walkable to the hustle and bustle. The gentle rocking was heavenly! John and Karen were absolutely nice and so helpful with local tips and were there to help with anything we needed! Staying at the Green Turtle was definitely an extra touch that made our trip to Boston that much more incredible!

We had a great stay at the Green Turtle and it was everything we expected. Being our first time in Boston, the location was excellent with easy access to the ferry to take us to the North End where we enjoyed historic sites and some great restaurants. There is a convenience store with breakfast sandwiches as well as a little cafe walking distance from the Green Turtle along with a nice lunch or dinner spot on the waterfront. There is also a free shuttle that took us to the train station where we hopped on to Fenway Park for a ballgame. After long days of exploring we enjoyed sitting on the dock watching the boats go by. Our hosts Jon and Karen were so accommodating and even went out of their way to find me gluten free muffins (delicious)!

This was a lovely place to stay. It was easy to get a Uber and go downtown. Sherry who met us at the property full of information. It was perfect for us. What a lovely evening sitting out in front on the dock looking at the moon enjoying each other's company.

Had a wonderful time and staying in the harbor was a great way to see Boston and surrounding area.Parking was easy, house boat was fabulous, owners were easy to deal with, and property manager gave us some great tips! Overall.... 10 out of 10!

This is a unique setting from which to explore Boston, based in a marina in a peaceful area. There are easy links to the main sites in Boston, using ferry, free bus and taxis. There is a well stocked and recently opened general store nearby. Everything was well managed for us, with breakfast and linen changes provided ( we were visiting for two weeks), and arrival arrangements were straightforward. Jon provided advice on local restaurants, many within walkable distance, and Sherrie was available on site and via text. We were well looked after!

Brittany came to let us in and show us around. She was a wealth of information on how to get around (the free shuttle is a block away). And where to eat and how to get to various sights. Her input turned out to be invaluable. The two unit houseboat is rustic and charming. We found it to be comfortable and it came with three days worth of pastries, so there’s that.

Absolutely Amazing!!

Well kept and unique launching point for Boston adventures. Check-in was easy. Not much of a kitchen, but suitable for morning coffee and a glass of wine.

Very comfortable stay. Easy walk to ferry. Parking was great at the dock.

Such a charming and relaxing place to wind down. Jon was great, very attentive. I hope to be back soon!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. It was probably the best vacation we’ve taken thank you so much for opening your place to us. I would say the only issue is if there’s ever water problems, but besides the shower issue, we enjoyed every moment of the time we were there.

The green turtle was wonderful and unique for our Patriot Day/Easter weekend getaway. Hosts were very welcoming, gracious and super responsive during our 4 day stay. Will have to find a reason to return!

We had never stayed on a houseboat before or used VRBO service. We left completely satisfied with everything. Any future VRBO hosts have some big shoes to fill!!

Our first time staying in a houseboat; we loved it. The views of the water with the backdrop of the city lights at night and the sun rising and waking us in the morning was so nice. We had a great dinner at Capo for the Frank Sinatra Sunday. We hope to stay there again. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Everyone should have a chance to stay at a boat house once in their life and the Green Turtle was a great way to accomplish that! I probably had some responsibility in missing this detail, but I wasn't aware that the second bedroom would be rented out. As a single woman renting I would have liked to have that been made more clear. Perhaps on confirmation? Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay, with a great restaurant in walking distance, and the setting was a redeveloped historic naval shipyard. Public transportation and historic sites were easily accessible.

The houseboat was comfortable, cozy, & clean. Walkable to many food options. Beautiful views! Safe & secure marina. Will book again when returning to Boston.

My husband and I stayed here and were drawn to this unique property. It did not disappoint! Staff was lovely, everything was super clean, and you can't beat the location

My husband was delighted by the specialness of the place I chose for our night in Boston. Going to sleep being rocked by the water was a one of a kind experience. Definitely would come again!

Fantastic house boat with everything you need. The water pressure is phenomenal and nice and hot. We enjoyed the snacks and drinks. Our title came from staying here on a severe wind warning weekend . The rocking was the best sleep remedy I have ever had thank you

All communications were smooth property was clean Upon arriving the boat was moving slightly we went to bed woke up and the water was so rough we couldn’t stand up. Taking a shower was almost impossible. We were told we could use one up the street. Freezing cold out so that wasn’t an option. We had to leave the following morning because I was getting violently sick. Instead of keeping the heat running on the owner we told them we would be leaving. We asked for a possible day refund to cover costs to stay at a hotel near by. They answered simply you knew it was a boat sorry it didn’t work out. We would have had no problem paying two night even though we only stayed one. We left the place as clean as we checked in because we didn’t use anything. They charge to “use “ a key fob to get you back in and out. After asking to possibly retrieve that money they sent us a partial credit 56 I know neither of us could know what weather we could have but when the girl checking you in says if you fall in the crack (there a gap between the boat and dock you have to jump in the house) swim to a boat don’t grab the dock clearly there’s a problem. I have never left anyone a bad review and we’ve rented 50 homes over the years this is not insulting someone just hoping maybe they change the description letting people know there’s a chance you’ll be sick or the amount the houseboat moves. Thank you

We absolutely loved this property. We had never stayed on the water before, but the owners made the process seamless. We were greeted at the gate, given a tour, instructions explained and were given numbers of there were any issues. Great information was provided on what to expect on the property as well as recommendations for things to do, restaurants and activities. All the neighbors were very kind and we consistently felt very safe on the harbor. We would definitely book again and hope to bring friends and family to experience it with us.

We enjoyed our time at the Green Turtle. We had everything we needed and then a gentle rocking to sleep on the waves. I wish we could see through the amazing yacht that was parked next to us. The view would’ve been amazing. Nonetheless we’d come back again. Central to all the life of the city, but relaxing and calm among the hustle and bustle. Great hostess. Thank you, Brittany.

This property was so nice we had to extend our stay! Everything was clean and inviting and the marina neighbors were great. Sherrie was a pleasure.

We chose to spend the last night of our Anniversary vacation at the Green Turtle. The hosts and staff were easy to work with (as I originally booked the wrong day) and the stocked fridge and breakfast treats were amazing. I highly recommend this experience!

There is only 2 complaints.. 1 the out side chairs were broken and dangerous… 2 the bed linen’s were not what I would expect with the price of the rental

Loved the uniqueness of this place!! The area was perfect and we were able to walk/bike to many destination. They provided drinks, snacks, coffee! The bed was so comfy. View was priceless and the neighbors were so so friendly
