Unwind and Relax in Charming Room Near Descanso Beach – 9 Min Walk to Shore

Do not book. The room I had was inundated with sewer gas when we arrived back from dinner. After waiting for response from after hours text line, we left the property and got a motel room a few blocks away. Host/property owner refuses to refund fees and basically blames me for not waiting for their response which did eventually come but was too late. I’ve contacted LA County health department for advice in occupying a room with sewer gas and besides the terrible odor, it is a health hazard. I’ll continue to work for a refund through the published VRBO Guarantee for “ Material Defects at Properties on Vrbo Sites:” “ A health and safety hazard prevents staying at the property”Santa Catalina Island is a beautiful place to visit so don’t ruin your trip by staying at this property.

Very convenient location. We loved our stay.

The location and walkability of this place is great for Catalina. Everything else was subpar. The place is extremely old with no updates. When we checked in, there was no toilet tissue. The bathroom is so old and smelled. The towels are thin and cheap. And for how expensive it was, not with it at all. I won’t stay here again.
