Awesome property! Looks much better in person and is much larger than the pictures lead you to believe. Everything was clean and very new. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend!

This was an amazing place to stay!! The hosts were wonderful and everything was so nicely set up for us when we arrived. They were so hospitable and gave us great tips for things to do in the area. The place was very clean, well organized, and had extra amenities like coffee bags and little creamers set out for us when we arrived. The area is a perfect close distance to Sturgeon Bay while still being in a quiet scenic country side. It was exactly what we were looking for!

Much cleaner than expected - good location to do the wine loop around the peninsula. Had everything we needed: fresh soap, extra blankets, firewood, area pamphlets, toilet paper, utensils and dinnerware, linens, etc Owner shared some secret exploring gems with us. Wasn't as remote as I thought it would be as its on owners property, but very well done and seemed private enough.

The property was inviting, clean and appropriate. The stairs to the second floor are a bit steep, making it difficult to navigate heavier bags to the second floor. That is my only concern: property contained wonderful board games, information, coffee, and a nice gift. We would very much consider renting from this host again.

The cabin was amazing! We could not have had a better time. It was a perfect place to relax, play board games, curl up by the fire, and watch movies. It was clean, spacious, and perfect for a romantic getaway weekend. We cannot wait to come back next year!

If you’re looking to unplug, reconnect and take a step back in time this IS the place to stay! This sweet, 1800’s cabin will not disappoint! Super clean, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen right up to ice cube trays! I enjoyed having coffee out in the cedar gazebo in the mornings and having cozy fires in the fireplace-all the wood is just out the door on the porch. If you’re lucky, you might even get to listen to an owl right outside the open window above the bed like I was! Book this gem and be centrally located to all things Door County. Be sure to get down to the beach just minutes away to watch the gorgeous sunrises too. You will not be disappointed. Russ and Stacy are great hosts.

The cabin was just as described and just what we were hoping for. Very clean, quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. We loved staying in an authentic log cabin and reading about the history of it. It's in a very convenient location outside of Sturgeon Bay to go exploring in Door County. We appreciated being able to relax in the evenings and watch movies from the comfortable couches. The stairway up to the bedroom and upstairs bath is steep with small steps, but we didn't find it to be a problem at all. We would gladly stay here again!

Situated in a great midway point a stone’s throw away, the home was ideal for equal-parts leisure and home base for excursions throughout the peninsula. The property itself was very clean and to the letter what the listing and similarly-positive reviews forecasted. The hosts were very kind and communicable, even welcoming us with gratis treats. I would definitely stay here again, my only regret is not having an outdoor fire pit accessible on the property.

Our family of four adored this property. Russ and Stacy were very accommodating and the listing was identical to what we received. The charm of the property was exactly what we were looking for to explore the Door County area. Minutes from downtown and plenty of room for us to park the boat and charge it.

It was a lovely spot! Everything in the cabin was as described. Bed was comfortable and while we were there we only needed the fan at night. Another plus was Dixie the friendly dog that greeted us when we would get back from hiking. Would definitely recommend this place.

Owners Russ & Stacy (and their sweet dog, Dixie) are genuinely friendly and welcoming. They carefully maintain their cabin to provide comfort and serenity. The cabin had everything I needed to enjoy my solo trip to Door County. It was spotlessly clean, the fireplace was perfect, and I slept soundly after exploring Sturgeon Bay & beyond!! It was hard to leave but I KNOW I will be back.

Russ and his wife are some of the kindest, most accommodating people we’ve ever rented from. The cabin is cozy and perfect for what we wanted in a place to stay. The Door County area has so much to offer and their cabin was the perfect compliment to a wonderful weekend.
