This beautiful lakefront South Hero cottage offers breathtaking views of the Green Mountains and Outer Mallets Bay. Boasting close proximity to grocery stores, restaurants, and Burlington, everything you need is nearby. Biking is a very popular activity during the spring, summer, and fall, with the scenic Island Line Bike Trail only a few minutes away. Fishing in Lake Champlain can be enjoyed year-round. Don't forget to bring your kayak or rent one at a local shop to head out on the lake during a warm summer's day.
Come back to a spacious and well-equipped cottage prepared to host the entire family. The eat-in kitchen is well-stocked and has the appliances needed for cooking a hearty dinner after a day out on the lake. The cottage is also perfect any time of year: you'll stay nice and warm in front of a cozy fire on chilly winter nights, or spend lazy summer afternoons lounging outside on your lakefront deck. Speaking of which, soak up the amazing views and relaxing ambiance of Lake Champlain while on the deck, or through the cabin's towering windows. If you're up for an adventure, take the steep stairs down to the rocky beach for a dip in the lake, to cast a line, or launch a boat (the mooring can support a 20-foot boat).

The spot is great. Nice view and superp surroundings
So wonderful. Quiet. Clean. Spacious. Well stocked/furnished kitchen. Great shower and towels. Lake view was stunning. We saw wild turkeys, deer and bunnies. Access was easy.
Our family spent 4 days on Inselheim Road and loved it. The house is extremely well stocked for a larger group. There is plenty of space to eat meals together and lounge together. There are also plenty of spaces for alone time. The views, when present, were lovely. (Canadian wildfire haze was present.) The lake is a real joy to swim in.
Perfect location
This house offers a beautiful location and view. Don’t be confused by the information in the listing, this property DOES NOT include air conditioning. There are comments in some reviews about the AC. Property manager was contacted and we were told that previous renters had also called about the AC; we requested pin# to turn on AC but were told “this unit does not come with AC” even though it is in the house.
Good rustic home to enjoy the island one. Sweeping views of the lake with access via a steep stairway. House is comfortable with all the fixings you need- full kitchen, clean bath and bedrooms. Only complaint is vacasa themselves- asked for a late checkout(wanted an hour) and they only option was to pay extra and have four more hours (not needed). Ridiculous to nickel and dime like that when who knows what time the cleaning crew showed up since they weren’t there when we checked out at 10… also had landscapers blowing leaves at 7am Friday morning while we were trying to sleep. House = good, vacasa= bad
The beds have body dents from (guessing) more than 20 years of bodies sleeping in them. The fabric couches are so old and dirty! We didn’t even stay one night of our four night stay. Terrible!!!! Don’t let the beautiful views trick you!
This a great place for families with 8-10 people, with lakefront (east facing) deck, private access to the lake and fully stocked with sheets, blankets, towels - like a hotel. Only one shower though. It has heating (of course!), which wasn't clear from the listing. It has a 70s - 80s feel inside, charming and slightly dated. All in all, pretty decent place. Will book again.
The house is nice, it has a well stocked kitchen and a great view of the bay. There is a barbeque grill even though Vacassa said there wasn't. The downstairs bedroom and bath are nice, the upstairs rooms are sparse and could use an update. The reading loft is a nice touch with some books available for you to keep if you wish. Water access is 42 steps down a cliff face. Okay if you're not carrying anything. Location is relatively private and quiet.
Beautiful, relaxing and very clean!
This home has central air conditioning which was needed this past week. The lake view was amazing! We witnessed a twin rainbow ? over the lake. Plenty of sleeping options for all 7 of us. ( could use a few more comfortable mattresses) Still a 5 star review from all of us.
Our family of 5 loved our stay. The views from the deck are breathtaking and the space was very comfortable with everything we needed. Easy to get to Burlington, the island itself is charming. A delightful place to visit.
Spent Memorial Day weekend. Very nice house with stunning views. The house was well equipped and clean.
