The Studio Sea Cottage, Perfect for Couples, Peaceful yet 16 miles to Acadia

Great place to stay while exploring the park. Highly recommend.

Perfect, serene, private and completely lovely. Fredi is an excellent host and it was exactly what we hoped for to relax and soak up Maine. The quiet peacefulness of the bay was idyllic. The soft pine needle path to Blunts Pond was a daily joy. We’d love to return.

Wonderful, small cabin, nestled in the perfect little spot on the bay. The host was very gracious and kind. We had a wonderful time and will be recommending it to anyone who wants to visit this area!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. The best feature of this lodging is the location in front of a serene cove with wonderful views of the ocean and land across it, surrounded by trees and wildlife. You can see many different bird species and bald eagles. The location is just a short distance to Lamoine State Park, beach, and Acadia. The inside was comfortable and very functional. Fredi was a pleasure to talk with. We would stay there again.

My wife and I spent the weekend at The Studio. It was a perfect base point for adventures in Acadia, Bar Harbor, and SW Harbor. We enjoyed catching up with our host and spending time on the porch enjoying the cool weather & wildlife.

The setting is beautiful, even magnificent, and peaceful. The Studio is a lovely, simple roomy cabin well furnished for sleeping comfortably, cooking indoors and out, eating and lounging and simply taking in the beauty. Hot water was plentiful and all appliances worked! Freddie was a most cordial and friendly host--not at all intrusive but quicklly responsive to questions and specific needs (even supplied an extra (third) pillow and a yoga mat we couldn't bring with us) and was happy to share his knowledge about the local area. When the old Weber grill finally bit the dust, he had a new one fully assembled in a day. We were most pleased with our stay and would happily return.

Perfect cozy cottage right on the water, bald Eagle’s, osprey’s in the trees, many different sea birds to watch from the porch as well as deer on the property, short trip to bar harbor and many other places to see, leaving the cottage was hard to do, host are very nice people , just simply loved our trip

Had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the small cottage in Lamoine. Fred was a very accommodating host, friendly and had everything we needed for a comfortable home away from home. Quiet, great view of the water and wildlife, comfy bed for a great night’s sleep! The cabin was ideally located for easy driving to Acadia and other sites in the area. His recommendations for great restaurants, shopping, activities and sights were valuable as well!

My husband and I loved staying at The Studio. The Cottage was charming, had a beautiful view of the water, and was clean and well stocked with everything we might need. Our hosts were helpful and knowledgeable. We loved our morning coffee on the porch overlooking the water, listening to the many birds nearby. We saw Bald Eagles, Osprey, Gulls and Loons in addition to many song birds. Sunsets were spectacular and the full moon over the cove was amazing. We slept some of the best sleep we've had outside our own home on the comfortable bed. The cottage was quiet and outside the crazy traffic of MDI/Acadia National Park yet close to everything by taking the back roads that bypass Ellsworth. Everything was perfect and we are already hoping to return for a longer stay next year.

We were so happy to return this year to this beautiful little slice of paradise on Frenchmen Bay. Fredi and Aja were the perfect hosts and provided us with all that we needed. So wonderful to be on vacation in such a relaxing place and so close to Arcadia and Bar Hatbor, yet far enough away to unwind and appreciate the beauty of the place. The cabin is so cozy and peaceful and has everything we needed, including the porch where we enjoyed our coffee in the morning looking out at the bay and hearing all the sounds of nature. We will definitely be back again!

We had waited five years to finally celebrate our honeymoon and I can’t think of a more perfect way than what we got. Freddi was the ideal host! From the moment we got there he was welcoming, giving us a tour and helping with our bags, as well as friendly, communicative and meeting us where our needs were. It truly felt like a home away from home and a family member away from family. And the view!! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views of the ocean, the feeling of being tucked away in the woods, and the serene, peaceful atmosphere. The cottage itself is charming and cozy, with everything you need. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the comfortable furnishings to the well-equipped kitchen, making our stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing and enjoying our morning coffee on the private deck overlooking the water was pure bliss. The sunsets were equally mesmerizing, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxing evenings. The location is ideal, offering both seclusion and convenience. We were only 20 minutes from Acadia National Park and 10 minutes from the local lobster man (highly recommended and his info is provided!). If you're looking for a serene escape with stunning ocean views and a great location, this cottage by the sea is a gem!

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner who then promptly gave us a tour and even helped us get our luggage unloaded. He was accessible if needed, but also gave us space. The Studio Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way and we look forward to renting again in the future.
