Serenity Woods Cottage at Platte Lake, Honor MI. Traverse City area!

This property was perfect for our long weekend. The cabin was exceptionally clean with all the amenities we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes, pots, pans, utensils etc that we needed to cook all our meals. It was cold and rainy outside one day to warrant trying the fireplace, which warmed the cabin up in no time. Extremely pleased with our stay and looking forward to coming back!

The house was very welcoming. Soft music playing and the gas fireplace on. Nestled among the trees it was really very serene. The house was pristine. I will definitely consider renting again.

Excellent cozy cabin, perfect for our family’s fall break!

I should have understood what dog friendly means. The house may have smelled a little like dog and I know it is near impossible to rid every blanket and couch of every dog hair. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean. The bedding and some towels were I little worn.

House was clean and cozy, bed comfortable. It was just as it appears in the pictures, and nice for a week exploring the area.

My husband and I enjoyed our two week stay in this cute cosy cottage. It was was very comfortable, including the king bed, and it had pretty much everything we needed for our stay, including a well equipped kitchen. It is in a very quiet and peaceful location, close to Sleeping Bear dunes, Frankfort and many hiking trails and beaches. The air conditioning was appreciated for some of the hotter days and when air quality was poor due to Canadian wildfires.We hope to be back!

A beautiful little cottage in one of the most gorgeous areas of Michigan. The cottage had everything we needed for a family of six. It brings a sense of peace and escape from the hustle and bustle! The beds were comfortable. The location is great...so close to some glorious beaches. We also boat, so this was a great location to get on many different lakes with little effort. Thanks for a wonderful stay for our family to make more up north memories.

Perfect location. Short drive to everything that we were looking to do, kayak, beach, shop, wineries, restaurants, trails.The cottage is exceptionally well stocked. Clean and comfortable. The property manager was very responsive for all our needs. He even messaged us to warn of a storm coming in.Most important to me is that our dog was welcome. There is even a poop bag dispenser.

The property and house looked exactly like the pictures listed online. We had a great stay and did many fun things in the area. I would say it is about 20 minutes from everything that we did. We went to Sleeping Bear dunes climb, Sleeping Bear point beach, pyramid point, Glen Arbor, Cherry Republic, North Bar Lake, Cherry Bowl, Sleeping Bear scenic Drive, Riverside kayaking is right down the road. Restaurant recommendations are Cherry Hut, Sweets Bar and Grill, and Cherry Public. The only small problem we had is the house has well water and it ruined some of our clothes doing laundry. The owner addressed the problem and was doing a well treatment after we left.Would definitely stay in this house again!

We frequent this area a few times a year but this was our first staying closer to Platte Lake. The property was well maintained and secluded. The house was very well kept. We had a minor hurdle during check in but John was incredibly responsive and it was resolved quickly and respectfully. We will definitely add this to our list for future visits.

It was an excellent stay from start to finish. Owner’s communication is great before and during the stay. The house itself is perfectly located for solitude and adventure. You are in between Frankfort/crystal lake and sleeping bear dunes/empire with both being 15 minutes north or south. Place was clean with all the amenities we could ask for. We certainly look forward to coming back! Thanks for the great weekend accommodation.

Very clean inside, and nice kitchen, but nothing was set up outside for guests. Had to clean all the outdoor furniture to use it, some of which was broken. Inside, the freezer did not open more than a few inches (not usable), and the tv was not set up in the bedroom. Otherwise, cannot beat the location!

We had a great week exploring the Spring sites in and around the Sleeping Bear area. The house was very clean, quiet and cozy; perfect for our stay. Much nicer bath and kitchen than similar places we’ve stayed in the area.

Had a wonderful vacation for the wife and I to unwind and relax. The cabin was just perfect and we truly enjoyed every moment. The Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. We saw deer every evening in the forest surrounding our little cottage in the woods.

Very clean and well equipped property. Host was very communicative before the rental. No surprises. Ended up being a great stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay as the place was well stocked with all of the amenities necessary for a comfortable visit. The special attention paid to the little things were much appreciated. We did run out of propane while cooking our streaks and had to finish them on the stove which was disappointing.

The house is beautiful. Everything was clean and fresh. The views of the woods through the expansive windows was amazing. Communication with the host was great and the house was exactly as described in the listing. My mother in law said she would live there if she could.

This property is perfectly located on the West side near Empire, Sleeping Bear, Glen Arbor, and many other great little cities to shop, dine, and enjoy some beach time. We were right around the corner from Riverside Canoe Trips so having a day on the river was super easy. The house itself is well appointed, has everything you need, super cute, and perfectly secluded. The extra cabin was perfect for some of my older kiddos. My dog loved being in the woods and it was just the perfect setting for her to run each day. Owner was super easy to communicate with and very helpful when needed. Highly recommend this property!! We will for sure be back.

Great place for our family vacation! Quiet wooded property. Host was very helpful with good communications. Close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Platte River, and Traverse City which offered endless options for activities to enjoy.

This property was phenomenal. The place was clean, comfortable, and cozy. There were plenty of pots and pans and herbs available for cooking. Hosts were excellent communicators and very welcoming.

This house is very cute! Quite location that was close to everything we wanted. You could tell someone put a lot of thought into setting up a great rental. It was perfect. I felt very comfortable talking with the owner and felt very supported. Great experience. ccomcomfortable comcomfortable

Another wonderful stay at Serenity Woods Cottage! The place is always clean, comfortable and stocked with all the necessary amenities. The wooded property is a peaceful place to relax, in between adventures in the surrounding area. We will absolutely return!
