Post & Beam Cottage - Shore Access, Mountain View - Near Acadia and Beaches

Perfect location for traveling to Bar Harbor and Acadia.House was great for our group and very cozy. We enjoyed game nights at the dining room table and meals on the deck. We also enjoyed the wildlife in the yard. Host was very responsive! Ashley B.

HelloHow should I begin? A rating of 10 out of 10 simply does not do justice to this property. This splendid place has everything one could possibly need to enjoy a laid-back week of pure relaxation. The location is absolutely perfect – close to Acadia and Bar Harbor, yet far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle that everyone else has to endure. It's conveniently near seafood and any shopping needs one might have in Ellsworth.The host deserves better than a 10/10 rating as well. I had forgotten my park pass at home and needed one printed. I sent a text, and the response was prompt and helpful: I sure will print it and bring it to you. This level of service was truly appreciated. Do I recommend this place? Absolutely. The next time we plan a vacation to Maine, this will be the first place I look for when checking availability.Best regards

Great place to stay. Large open space downstairs with kitchen, dinning & living room. 2 large comfortable bedrooms upstairs & a nice loft with futon. Nice big deck outside. So many things to do in the area. Would stay in this house again.

Great house about a half hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Nate was very attentive when we had a small issue, and solved it promptly. Would definitely stay there again!

We had such a wonderful time here in Lamoine! Close to Acadia but away from the crowds to explore the MANY beautiful trails and awesome coastline. So nice to have a home away from home to clean up and refresh for the next day’s adventures. We loved evenings under the stars at the fire pit and enjoyed the versatility of the kitchen and grill for meal prep. Everyone could find solace in a little place to hide from each other from the playground to deck to bedrooms- plenty of space to spread out. And yes, bring the bikes because the carriage roads and Schoodic are worth it!!! Thank you for a great stay!

Excellent place to stay. Great yard for kids to run around. Easy access to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

Our family stayed here to hike and visit Acadia. We loved the easy access into the park. The trail down to Racoon Cove was a neat way to check out the narrows and watch the tide rise and fall.

This is the kind of place I look for in a VRBO stay.It's clean, comfortable, well stocked, well maintained, great location, owners communicate well and it's a pretty central location to all the sights. (Acadia and such)Highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful time. The place was exactly as the pictures show. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of room for our family of 6 adults, an infant and a dog. It was very quiet which was wonderful. We enjoyed going to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We enjoyed lots of yummy food and just had a wonderful family week. I highly recommend this place for a great family vacation!

I’m sorry to say that I did not appreciate the bugs and spiderwebs inside the windows when I opened up to get air. I Had to buy an air mattress because the downstairs bed was not only uncomfortable, but had very noisy bedframe

The cabin was roomy and comfortable. Close to 2 beaches and easy to get around. Quiet neighborhood with lots of wildlife. Some updates / fixes would be helpful but overall very nice.

House was wonderful. Beautiful surroundings. Quiet and peaceful.

This was a great location for us--about halfway between bar harbor and schoodic peninsula.

This property was great. Clean, cute and roomy with all the touches to enjoy our stay. Big porch. Grill. Fire pit. The location was perfect for us. Close enough for all the sights but just outside it all for the quiet we were looking for.

We love this place

The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 4 and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the outside decks & firepit as well as the peaceful surroundings. We explored Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park. Ellsworth, and saw fireworks from Marlboro beach. The only reason we gave a 4 star rating for cleanliness was because the microwave and some of the dishes/silverware had not been cleaned or not cleaned well which were minor issues. Otherwise, the cabin was clean. Overall, we enjoyed the location and would rent the cabin again.
